Koga's Beedril

Two were shillers, and maybe all three. So many of the sets have one-off or two night prices and it’s rarely any of the sellers you know. Fishy business.

When it’s a private listing and it doesn’t reveal the bidders name I usually expect a lot of shilling to go on, but this is a little bit surprising to me. Won’t the last guy(who isn’t gonna pay up based on the assumption that he shilled) get a buyer strike from ebay? Too much funny business going on here, I wish people would just bid up what they would really pay for a card and stop trying to hype up cards this way. It makes it really annoying when trying to buy cards on other websites too because some people refer to the most recent ebay completed auction as the price point for their cards and explaining this whole shill bidding business makes the negotiation process frustrating :unamused:

I bought this card for $75 USD 6 months ago. I have received two messages this week with offers over $600. Im sure the prices will cool off and I will regret not selling but I am not a flipper or an investor, I just collect the cards that I like and have sold like 10 cards that I had doubles off and didn’t want anymore. Selling just because the hype goes against why I got into the hobby and if I did that most of my collection would be gone by now. But with all that said Im happy to see the price shoot up and it feels good to have completed this set in PSA 10 1st before the hype.

You wouldn’t happen to have doubles of sabrinas abra #94 would you?

If a card can sell for a record price especially WoTC card idc what it is I consider that a win for everyone. If there’s none on the market AkA eBay, why not mark up the price :man_shrugging:. I did when. I noticed Unlimited Snorlax sold for double what I paid for it not even 5 months ago and there was none forsale at the moment. What I do? double that sale list it buy-it-now.
3days later…
I personally think Most PSA 10s WoTC Holo Rares are super under valued if below $100. Unlimited or 1st edition.
All my Opinion tho

Continuing with unlimited jungle this just sold.

About time unlimiteds got some love.

After seeing that absurd auction price I listed my copy for $605 and it sold over night. For the record it was completely legit and I had no part in manipulating the market. I’ll tell you flat out I think $600 is ridiculous.

If people are willing to pay it… it makes sense. I know those cards don’t come around too often. If I didn’t already have one, I’d pay $600 for it.
Once Misty’s golduck comes out again, I don’t give a farfetched what I have to pay. I’m paying it to complete my collection. That and Sabrina’s Abra I will pay top dollar for. Sabrinas Abra is a common card. But there’s so few of them that’s out there and graded.

I’m tempted too but just can’t piece them out. Too painful.

this is mighty interesting! what are the 1st edition prices on these cards?!

just checked. there is a 1st edition psa 10 snorlax up for bin price of $500…

27/64 no holo version is listed BIN 500.

People can buy as they please but like… PSA 9 of that Kangaskhan is a $25 card. I get that the pop is 14 for that unlimited holo(really surprising to me tbh, most likely because people don’t think it’s worth it to grade an unlimited wotc holo yet unless it’s one of the top tier ones like lugia from neo… which leads them to not look up what they can fetch for kangaskhan due to the pop which is why it’s not heavily graded)
like the fact that Kangaskhan’s 1st edition psa 10 holo sales are around that price, maybe a little more, makes this buy really crazy to me

That’s a non holo mate, this is the last sale i can find for the holo.

It’s not due to lack of trying there are 436 graded unlimted kangaskan’s and there are 206 9’s and only 14 10’s. The print quality of it is horrible and it’s well known as a very tough card to grade.

There’s 33 unlimited PSA 10 gengar fossil holos and 142 PSA 10 1st edition holos of that card, yet the 1st edition of gengar fetches 4x the price

For jungle : 23 vaporeon’s to 62 1st editions and the 1st edition is 3x the price
Also, if we’re comparing pops and percentages, of all the PSA 10 Kangaskhan holos, only 18% of them are unlimited, but for Vileplume, an even lesser percentage of 15% are unlimited, yet vileplume’s 1st edition holo(pop 91) is still $100 more than its unlimited counterpart(pop 16)

it makes absolutely no sense to buy an unlimited holo at the same price as a 1st edition

I do think it’s because unlimited hasn’t been as popular, so pops are low. Plus, the print conditions do seem to be given the ratio of graded cards vs psa 10 grades. but if now the market prices on unlimited do stay at this high 400-500, then you bet more people will grade those unlimited cards to try to get psa 10. also, the unlimited psa 9 and psa 10 price difference is pretty massive…

Um… you do realise the price of first editions have soared at the same time right?

Yes… that’s literally half of my sentiment in that previous post… the underlying point being that the 1st edition kangaskhan’s recent sale prices are around the posted picture’s sale of the unlimited holo though, meaning that it doesn’t exactly make sense to buy the unlimited holo at that price at this point, regardless of the pop count. I further explained this by showing that even with large discrepancies in 1st edition/unlimited pop counts, the 1st edition should and almost always will be at a higher price point, which again shows why I think the Kangaskhan buyer should’ve tried to hold out for a 1st edition around the same price(unless of course the guy is a master set collector and was going for an all psa 10 jungle unlimited master set, in that case kudos to him/her)

What is the most recent sales data that you can find for ths first edition kanga? The market seems to have dried up. There is a very high probability that any that come to market will sell at a record price in this current market. Im not saying that the price on that Kanga Unlimted is sustainable but it reflects the current boom in the market. Sales data from even a few months ago doesn’t reflect the current hysteria with in the market currently.

@dok It’s not just Kangaskhan, PSA 10 Jungle holos in general are hard to find (outside of a couple of them). Clefable, Wigglytuff, Snorlax, Kangaskhan, and Vaporeon in particular.

And yet, it still doesn’t pay to open Jungle boxes because the commons/uncommons are worth basically nothing and the printing on the holos is absolute trash (the vast majority don’t grade as 10s out of the box).
