King Pokemon at it again . . .

To be fair, 95% of Pokemon collectors can’t afford to buy one in the first place, so its kind of silly saying its overvalued when they were never in the market for it.

Excluding investors, its probably correct in saying that most of the PSA 10 1st Edition Charizards will not be resold by these celebrity figures.

I like to collect Charizards and fortunately can afford to. When valuing I ask myself would I pay x ammt for this card? The answer determines whether I think it’s overvalued or not. Now would I pay 300-350k for a PSA 10 1st base Charizard for my collection OR as an investment? No and No. Hence overpriced in my opinion. Would I pay 100-150k for a Shadowless 10? Just might. That 54 pop is super attractive to me considering almost everyone would want one, There’s about 40 illustrators and those are sky high even though few are even mint. Would I trade 5 shadowless for a mint one! Nope. It doesn’t fit my personal valuation.

Fortunately I’ve been more right than wrong so it wouldn’t serve me well to minimize the weight I put on my valuations. At least not at this time.

I know I’m being somewhat pedantic with this response/question, but isn’t the pop report with regards to shadowless somewhat misleading since they didn’t immediately recognize that designation?

Great video, well done Gary
