Hey all, I’m on the hunt for a jungle wrapper! I have fossil and base just need a jungle one. Would any body have any clue about if there are any out there or if any one has one let me know:)

Hmmm…good question. You see, it’s been many years since I’ve seen some of my collection that is stored in California.
Back in 1999 and 2000 I traded and sold a bunch of stuff but then I stopped and only added to my collection. Things started getting moved and buried in the back. I never kept track of the oddities like I did the early Japanese cards then later English.
I believe the base roll that circulated and got cut up was originally mine. Whether I got rid of all of them, I don’t recall. I don’t recall ever seeing a jungle one though.
Now does that mean there’s no such thing? Of course not. There’s tons of things I have no idea about. There could be many hiding out;)

If and when I come to the US, one of the things that should be on a tourist’s holiday list is @garyis2000 's storage lots and collections.
I picked up a couple of the fossil sheets. If anyone does bump into jungle sheets, if there is spares after Jake gets his copy/copies , hit me up

I’ve already shared this story on E4 within the The Auction Thread.
So, as you may (or may not) know, I was able to purchase the Fossil Set Wrapper Roll back in May or June 2018. It was by-far the most prolonged transaction I have ever made - taking over two years to finally strike a deal and acquire!
Originally, the roll was listed on eBay Auction back in Late-2016 for $200.00 Starting-Bid. The eBay Listing itself was very screwed-up and really flew-under the RADAR of many people with it’s lack of information / detail - I don’t think the seller even mentioned “Pokemon” within the eBay Title. So, there were hardly any views / watchers and zero bids. I’m not exactly sure how I stumbled upon that listing; however, the timing could not have been worse for me! I was scheduled to fly-out and join a ship within the next couple days (before that auction ended). It was a VERY NEW eBay Seller and I was not about to risk having to deal with a potential eBay Scam while in the middle of the ocean with limited Internet Access. So, I messaged the seller eagerly expressing my interest and offering triple the Starting Bid if he would end early and package / mail to me ASAP. I came-off WAY TO EAGER as I was really excited about the possibility of purchasing. Immediately afterwards, the eBay Auction was ended and the seller messaged me asking why I was so eager to purchase when it didn’t seem like anyone else was interested in the least-bit. We went back-and-forth for awhile - I up’ed my offer to $750.00 or $1,000.00 (forget exactly). However, the damage was done - I was way to eager to purchase - and let this show - so the seller declined my offer and told me that he planned to keep the roll as he really didn’t need the money. We exchanged contact information, and I emphasized for him to reach-out if he ever wanted / needed to sell the roll.
I kept in-contact with the seller - sending him a friendly e-mail every couple of months asking if he were ready to part with the roll. We were constantly going back-and-forth with one another. He really didn’t know anything about Pokemon - wasn’t into the game or collecting at all. He had a lot of questions pertaining to the roll itself which I would try my best to answer. Within these back-and-forth messages, he actually told me that he purchased this Wrapper Roll at a FLEA-MARKET for $2.00!!! That’s when I knew I had him (or so I thought)… We’d discuss pricing - I was always between $500.00 and $1,000.00. We actually came close to an agreement sometime last year, he reached-out to me asking if I would consider purchasing at $2,000.00. I came very-close to jumping at the opportunity; however, decided to play-it smart and told him I wasn’t interested at that price-point - that was sooo tough “walking-away”!!!
Anyway, fast-forward to 2018… We’ve been going back-and-forth every couple months with nothing amounting to anything. I’m starting to realize that maybe this deal will never come into actuality. So, I finally stop e-mailing him - and don’t hear anything for the longest time. Then, out of the blue, I get an e-mail from the seller asking if I am still interested in purchasing the roll. He’s needing the money for some bills and is willing to work with me to finalize a deal. So, I ask the seller what he’s looking to get out of the roll. He immediately responds back to me basically saying he’ll accept whatever I am willing to offer as he’s in a tough spot. This was a major change from how he had previously acted with our “negotiations” and I felt bad knowing that he’s in a tough spot financially now. So, I ask him how much he’d like / how much he would need to help-out his situation… He tells me $300.00 plus Shipping and it’s mine! At First, I was ready to immediately accept and finally get the ball rolling! But, I felt bad and couldn’t justify “stealing” the roll from him like that. So, I told him I’d pay $600.00 plus all Shipping Costs and his PayPal Fee. He was VERY APPRECIATIVE and FINALLY ACCEPTED! I ended-up paying close to $700.00.
EDIT… After all of those negotiations and listing my initial 10 “Sheets” on eBay, I actually said SCREW-THIS! Haha Those “Sheets” took FOREVER to cut / package / package for shipment - and I really wasn’t enjoying that process at-all. Rusty (TCA Gaming) was interested in the roll for his collection, so last week we finalized a trade-deal where he now has the Wrapper Roll and 5x Un-Cut Sheets and I have something I have ALWAYS WANTED for my own collection… Unlimited Base Set Booster Box in MINT Condition!!!
