Jopo's slime army

After you told me soon after the Prototype fiasco you managed to find this card and had it waiting for you at Robert’s place, I’ve been looking forward to this update and hear the card arrived safely in your hands. Big congrats again on fully completing your English Grimer/Muk collection including this unofficial card.
Also love the pictures with the red clovers in the background. :pikahappy:

Amazing amazing update. This really could not have happened to a better collector. Massive congratulations my friend. This card looks so very clean and is very beautiful. I am very sure it looks so much more when held in hand and in person.

Kudos on your perseverance. I know of some of your struggles this year and I truly wish this card brings you immense joy and happiness. Congratulations on completing your English collection. Very happy for you.

Cheers!

Huge congrats friend, so happy the slime army has this new general joining the ranks. Nicely done matching the flowers in the background to the graded guard, very art, much wow.

A beautiful update and a huge congratulations on the acquisition and achievement! I remember your collection thread being one of the first I read through when I first joined the forum, and you mentioning this one from time to time since.

I can’t think of a more fitting person to own such a rare print- you absolutely deserve it through and through. Congratulations again on the set completion and beautiful pickup!

Thanks a lot everyone, seeing other people share the excitement really makes me smile  and i’m glad people liked the clovers in the background even though i should have taken the photos sooner as she smell of muk made some flowers wither when i was preparing everything :wilted_flower:

@brendantheclayboy i will most likely leave it graded and get a frame for it, i like the added protection in this case even though the label could be more pleasant. But i do agree on everything you said and especially on your opinion of @bbobrob , but i do have to add that he’s also EFG and BMFMW and i’m sure everyone can agree

I wanted to chime in and congratulate you on this one. I can’t imagine how scary it was to pay for such a big amount for one item! But I love to see it. Life does have ups and downs doesn’t it? So to be able to have people who can celebrate with you really helps. I’m glad to see the slime army grow. I want to see you make good movement moving forward in all aspects of life. Sorry you got mixed up with the playtests scandal. Its been a rough time in general for cards, and the playtest scandal was like doubling down on bad news. But it was very real for you and must have felt so terrible. So it’s good to see extremely and truly rare cards end up in the hands of someone who really appreciates it for what it is.

Go slime army!

In addition to middlemaning me the cosmos foil fossil muk @bbobrob also has been storing my other purchases for some time and i wanted to make a separate post for showcasing all that stuff, can’t thank him enough for all the help!

First a lot of flats, including a lovely illustration showcasing both our special guys that will be another sweet addition in this collection  other than that i’m super excited to finally get these psychedelic Peruvian navarrete buildable cards with awesome colouring, bought doubles of them since as the photo below shows they make absolutely great display pieces! Also separate photos for a holo bleed merlin muk and a reverse holo muk where the poke ball fits right in muk’s hand that @stagger12 found and shared with me! And in top right corner of the first photo a fine example of the variant game as it’s not enough to be able to find these niche Peruvian stickers since apparently there also is an Argentina variant with a different back

Then another lot with a bunch of japan purchases that bbobrob included in his buyee orders and even some extras that i knew nothing about since he included these booklet stickers in bottom right as a surprises, especially their backs are so great that they deserve a separate photo  also can’t not love the pixellated Korean pan stickers in bottom left and the math challenge book muk in top left, latter again with a help of stagger12

Then something for the display, i know bgs isn’t the most popular one but i really like their slabs as they have the premium feel for me that i find suitable for my display items (the inner sleeves aren’t the most display friendly thing tho), and as i’m adding the cosmos foil fossil muk in my display and i tend to avoid duplicate arts there i wanted a replacement for my bgs 9 fossil muk and this was imo the best vintage art to have there!

After that we move on to bigger items, and the first one actually being so big that i laughed out loud when i first time held this pokemon colosseum strategy guide that was way more massive than i thought, it does have both grimer and muk in the cover but how the hell am i supposed to store it thanks for this problem go to @Quuador who notified me about the cover!

After that a Keiko Fukuyama illustration book book filled with incredible art, usually i skip these books even if they have some great slime art in them if it’s only on inside pages but this one actually has not one but two grimer on the cover!

And lastly some sticker sheets that i’m always eager to get if they have my boys included, the second photo one being again a surprise extra that bbobrob included without letting me know

There’s something about seeing non-TCG Pokemon items which makes me feel so nostalgic. Even though I focus on the TCG now, when I was a kid it was always about the toys, books and figurines. Fantastic post!
