Might have to keep them away from the little ones or you might find them in someone else’s mouth for once!
Ah man, I really like how colorful these figures are, and the metal ones too. But I don’t think I want to stretch my budget further for now, so maybe sometime in the future!
Another batch of the backlog with some updates i’m very excited to show. I’m starting with snack stickers that are my main non tcg hunt atm regarding to flats. They seem to be relatively unknown but they very likely are the first pokemon collectables ever released. All the stickers have both holo and non holo variant and the holo pattern sure is a beautiful one (also reminds me of topps chrome sparkle foils, i guess i’m a sucker for that kind of holo pattern). I’m lucky to own all but one grimer variant, again with @azulryu guiding me in right direction, but muk ones are a head scratcher and i haven’t been able to find any that i’m willing to buy. Since the stickers are paired up it’s unfortunately common that the stickers have been separated from each others. Unlucky for me, muk is also paired with gengar in the set which makes it more wanted for others than my average muk item.
Then something i thought i already posted here but apparently didn’t, my canadian burger king grimer with perforated edges. I already had both the perforated muk and uncut sheet so was glad to find a matching canadian grimer to go with them. As far as i know i’m now only missing the clean edge canadian grimer (which should also have an error where the translations of height and weight are mixed) unless german cards also have clean edge variants but i haven’t seen any cards with clean edges from the german set so i’m leaning in those not existing at all.
Talking about not existing at all, i thought that this set again skipped my guys since they were nowhere to be found for so long, i love the colours of these pokemon candy planet cards and i’m happy that i can add one of them in my collection
After that perhaps two of the oldest purchases in my backlog since i’ve put buying errors on pause already quite a long time ago. The first one having two square cut corners and the second one having both a crimped top edge and also missing a piece of it. Especially the latter one is a very cool one, they were both very cheap cards so even though my focus isn’t in error cards i’m glad i snagged them when i did.
And lastly a fun one, i think the number who have messaged these grimer recycling bins for me on ig is well over 20 now, and while it’s a massive stretch to ever think i could own one i at least found a magazine with photos of it and if i ever find the actual recycling bin may arceus have mercy on me when my wife sees its arrival
I would love one of those bins for my office. It’s super interesting that those snack stickers may be the first ever Pokemon collectables. Very cool.
Awesome to see more of the collection! Can you explain what exactly is being shown that takes 7 steps for recycling? Also, I wish the human feeding grimer logo was a sticker, Id rep it.
I’m guessing it just explains that grimer talks something after you put a bottle/can inside it’s mouth, kinda bummer it does that since if it was just an empty shell where to put your bottles and cans they would probably be more easily mass produced and i could perhaps think about obtaining one some day but if it has some electronic stuff in it that may make it more limited
Another post, another batch of backlog, still a lot of stuff to go through. Starting with these town on no map slabs i already posted in another thread but wanted them here too. Like mentioned there too the grimer that was recently purchased is very likely the last graded set card i’ll purchase, quite certainly at least of the cards that currently exist. I do have a slab being held in my middleman service and i do plan to make a small psa submission of my own so still some incoming slabs but no new purchases. This grimer also had some terror moments already when i asked my wife to help me photographing it since my background doesn’t stand on its own and she had to hold it. After i was done with photos she had a brain fart and just let the background she was holding loose and it naturally fell on the slab and knocked it down, thankfully i have my dad reflexes so i could just barely prevent it sliding and falling off the table. Next time i’m asking my toddlers to help with photographing since they feel more safe.
And talking about toddlers, i recently made a commission on ig for cards that would represent two muk and three grimers on single card to have my actual little slime army in card form, very happy how the cards ended up being! Also in same commission i got a shining and gold star cards of muk, what a world that would have been!
Then some pokemon center charms and pins, i don’t like these kinds of items very much when they are loose since they just tend to sit in a box but as unopened items they are excellent display pieces. Especially love that Tomokazu Komiya muk pin, i’m lucky that both my guys have an illustration made by him.
And lastly few battle chip related items. Like previous photos these battle chip sheets are also incredible display items, also a battle chip mini binder with muk on it which feels like very oddball item. I’m always surprised to see a random grimer or muk on merch like that binder but naturally not complaining.
I really love the CGI Grimer artwork. I don’t think we’ll ever get card art like that again.
The custom cards you purchased are beautiful.
3 grimers! I thought there were only 2. Youve gotta be careful more dont show up, once they start coming its hard to stop them.
Yes, the latest double order tripled the amount in one go, but don’t worry, three will be the final number
@D3F14NC3 you are probably right, even though the flood of new excellent artists has been steady and exciting this is very likely something we’ll never get again
The commissioned cards are really cute! Looks like the patience of both Muks is wearing thin with all the little Grimers running around
I also picked up a battle chip sheet recently. I’m always surprised things like this can still be found in their original state (i.e. not punched out), but I guess it shouldn’t be that surprising given the number of still-sealed things that have survived to this day. Still feels cool to have a whole sheet as opposed to a single pog/chip though!
The artist is really great and i’ve commissioned from them earlier too, she really captured the state of things in those expressions
And i too always find it surprising when something this old and clearly meant for kids to play has survived to this day without being opened, be it unopened toys or sheets like this. Although i guess compared to anything sealed it wouldn’t be impossible to place the battle chips back in the sheet if the condition of them hasn’t suffered and all the pieces are still to be found
Few more backlog batches to go, gathered some oversized flats in this post. First some clear files with my slime on them. I’ve never actually understood the purpose of clear files but japan seems to love them, if someone can enlighten me if they have an actual usage i’m all ears
Then a calendar page with art used also in some bootleg cards, i adore this cheerful art featuring multiple pokemon but i have zero idea how or where to display it so it’s currently just rolled up and stored away
Then something i’ve kinda shared already multiple times here, an uncut burger king sheet with both my guys on it (i feel incredibly lucky that they ended up on the same sheet, these make awesome display pieces). Slightly ironically this is the regular english print which is the most common variant out of them but i managed to find the very rare canadian and german sheets before i put myself to buy this one i did however manage to make it a bit more special since i found an error sheet where the back is slightly miscut and the white edge can be seen on right. Really love how the three sheets look next to each others in my display, will show them when i post updated photos of the display once i’ve caught up with my backlog.
And lastly this banpresto sticker sheet mimicing a stamp sheet, a gashapon board with a muk figure in it and this pokemon navarrete post card with some original poison pokemon on it, still even though there are tons of them these south american exclusive post cards are the only post cards where my guys have a main role, very glad of their existence.
The back of this one looks better, though.
But cool to see something that contains both a Grimer/Muk and Seviper in both of our collections.
I didn’t knew there were sticker sheets of this. Now I’ve gotta figure out if the two sheets containing Seviper are available as sticker sheets. I guess not, but who knows.
Greetz,
Quuador
I also find it amusing when i see an item i too have in another species collector’s collection, the shared type usually makes it easier but there really isn’t a lot of items with both grimer/muk and seviper on them
And i think you are safe since afaik they are completely different instances and it doesn’t mimic any existing stamp sheet but instead just the layout, at least i think i have all the stamp sheets with grimer and muk included and none of them have the same stamps than this sticker sheet
After this post one more and i’m all caught up with my backlog. I guess i could also have made a mega post with all of them but for time management reasons a bunch of small posts was a lot easier, but i think it was probably also more viewer friendly with average person’s ability to concentrate nowdays
First these new alolan muk stickers, pan sticker featuring both alolan muk and koffing and a waffle sticker with a beautiful holo pattern. The waffle sticker also has a puzzle piece on back side and other stickers’ puzzle pieces from the set also form alolan muk which i’ve included in photos too. I’m glad alolan muk has gotten a bunch of new merch with its role in pokemon horizons anime.
Then some photos with several items in them, both also have some new alolan muk merch but since i took the photos when i received the items and i’m too lazy to take all the stuff out of the binder for new photos they are now shown between multiple photos. In second photo some other stuff worth mentioning too, i finally found another unopened battmemo grimer since the first grimer and muk i found i opened since the packing was so obscure i didn’t think it was unopened and put them in binder instead, happy to have found both copies again now. The 151 pack i meant to buy at some point as it has a small silhouette of muk but actually forgot the whole thing until one seller included that pack as a freebie with an order, lucky little coincidence! Also in third photo i added the backs of bandai kids mini cards from second photo since i want to keep an online list of them in case i find a potentially new one to prevent the need of taking all of them out of the binder. With these two new arrivals i now have a full binder spread of mini card variants, the two new ones also probably are on more rare side, didn’t even know they had variants with horisontal back sides.
Lastly more photos with a bunch of flats in them. Stuff to highlight are for example the holo pog in first photo which is a lovely niche, another battmemo grimer in second photo and in third photo more bandai kids mini cards with their backs shown in last photo. There’s also a same grimer lamin card on second and third photo that i accidentally included twice instead of a lamin muk, please imagine one of them as muk so i avoid the need to take new photos. A big one also is the much more rare 1999 variant of dunkin boomer sticker of grimer to complete the mini collection, i now have both 1999 and 2000 variants but also crimped error stickers of both grimer and muk which is funny (and extremely niche). The crimped muk i actually opened myself in my childhood and found it from my childhood home after i had already bought the crimped grimer without knowing i already have a matching muk, if the 151 pack was a lucky little coincidence this was a massive lucky coincidence for my collecting niche, you can imagine my joy!
Also, yesterday i randomly happened to check the date i joined E4 and apparenly it’s today so this is my fourth anniversary here time flies!
This pokedoll Grimer is ultra cute
I also don’t really understand what the practical use of the clear file is, but yes, there seems to be tons of them out there!
Another Seviper/slime combo! @Quuador This time seemingly more random, as the sticker sheet seems to have random pokemon together on it.
Great update! Lots of variety here. I never get tired of seeing all the different Pokemon things out there that exist
Thanks! And i actually messaged Kevin when i found that piece with both seviper and muk on it thinking that i might have found something he’s missing but nope, naturally he had it already
