jonandek collection post

@jonandek, it’s possible the focusing issues were caused by having the binder in the background? I remember watching someone on youtube have similar issues and when he cleared the table the camera focused on the cards in his hands. Not sure that’s the problem but you could try that in a test video and see if it helps!

Otherwise, I absolutely loved the video, super cool to see and hear how you’ve organized your collection so far. Pacing was good to me, didn’t feel too long and it felt like you gave enough time to each set  I laughed when I saw the etb filled with the psa labels, I have one of my own haha. I think chronological order makes sense, that’s what I vote for at least.

Awesome showcase  small tip would be to film in landscape instead of portrait that may fix the focusing issue also!

Thanks for the suggestions and comments so far… I’ll play with landscape mode for the next video. Also the focus issue seems to be better at night some reason. I thought the extra light would help more in the daytime but apparently not. In any case I’m going to try and average about one of these per week, so I’ll keep going through them slowly

It seems that you are really close to completing your collection goals. What, if anything, do you plan to collect once you have finished them?

Love the way you tease us with your filler collection until you get to the good stuff…
Can’t wait to see your ex-series collection, especially Dragon Frontiers

Great question. I still have plenty left to go… I have 5 reverse EX sets to finish, and plenty of binder cards to “upgrade” still. I will probably keep buying some of my favorite PSA 10s too. In terms of next major goals though, I haven’t really decided. Possibilities:

  • Mint copies of all post EX series key cards (Lv X, Primes, etc)
  • Catch up on my promo cards
  • Pick up a few key trophy cards

I’m not in any rush, and honestly think I’ll be content for quite a while once I finish my original goal(s).

All of that sounds great. Good luck!

The Gengar’s art was changed as well. In the Japanese version he is standing in a graveyard. They removed the crosses. Makes a lot more sense why he is just chilling in the open haha

@zavik
If you look really close at card you can still spot all the shapes of graveyard crosses etc. but you’re totally right, english version is really bland compared to japanese version. Awful decision.

Awesome! I did not know that. I think I’m going to pick up Japanese versions of that card and Misty’s tears for the binder after reflecting.

Another awesome vid!

And adding the Japanese alternate arts is a great idea!

In the japanese version of neo discovery the beedrill is holo, it’s a sick card!

Thanks for the heads up on all of these Japanese art variants! I’ve been picking up all of them and even finding additional variants. Will show them once they’re all in. Just picked up the beedrill - it does look pretty sweet

Do you plan on collecting all the neo holos in 10’s or happy with the binders?
