Not sure if this has been done, but I’m trying to create an excel sheet for Japanese Booster Packs. These range from regular release packs, expansion packs, promo packs, gum packs, sticker packs, and all the other odd releases. One of my main goals is to collect as many Japanese sealed booster pack arts as possible. As of now I have populated anything Pre-BW era, if anyone would like to continue to do Post-BW era please let me know. Also if someone wants to do all the Promo 1-2 Pack card releases that would be great. I plan to continue to populate this list.
This list is no where near complete, as well as organized, so feel free to comment if I am missing anything or if you have any suggestions for organization! Also if you feel any more columns should be added like “Year Released”, “Pricing”, “English Equivalent” let me know!
Good idea, I’ve always been meaning to do one of my own. Depending on how how pedantic you want to go, along with the 291 and 300 yen version, you could include the 300 yen sticker (on a 291 yen pack).
@charchu I think there was a previous thread where there was some question as to whether they exist or not. Someone had a 2 unlimited e1 cards but we were unsure of where they came from and we couldn’t find any source, like pictures of an unlimited e1 pack. And just in general you don’t see unlimited e1 cards for sale. If anyone has see them for sale that would be good to know .
@woolsluk, for DP i think all sets had a 1st Ed/Ued. print run, except that Movie Commemoration Random Pack, which is all unlimited. The 1st Ed print runs for some of them like Secret of the Lakes are just really hard to find. As for Legend era, I am unsure of the two L1 sets and the L2 set for unlimited. There is a picture of unlimited L3 packs floating around somewhere I believe. And Lost link was only 1st ed.
I actually saw a picture of an unlimited L1 booster the other day, was a Ho-Oh pack art but I cannot remember where for the life of me or if it was on promotional material or not (if it was it could have just been a mock up rather than an actual scan of a pack so the set may not actually exist in ued)
As a collector of sealed japanese packs I wanted to say thank you very much for putting this together as this is very helpful! and I own a unlimited L2 card but have yet to see a unlimited L2 booster pack.
