Japan Card Shops

To any Efour family that either lives in Japan or have visited and seen the awesome card / hobby shops that sell Pokémon singles , have you seen any super rare trophy / promo / prize cards being sold ? If so which if I may ask ?

Was watching a few YouTube videos of people walking around the card shops there ( some with permission too do so and some I doubt unfortunately ) and I saw some championship arenas , mysterious pearls for sale , some art academy even but not really any others like say

Masters Scroll
University Magikarp
Tropical winds
Snap cards

If you have seen any of these or others would love to know ! Maybe visiting Japan next year and would love too know if I will possibly be able too see some sweet rare cards even if there out of my price range

Cheers !

There are rare cards but more expensive than online prices. I can only find bargains for the lower-end cards or unpopular sets in physical shops.

I wasn’t exclusively seeking out card shops during my trip but the 5 or so I went to mostly had modern.

Most interesting finds were an overpriced Fan Club Eevee, No Rarity Venusaur, and Illustration Zorua (didn’t get a photo of that one).

Also happened across a number of these gambling devices totally-legal-in-Japan try-your-luck vending machines! Depending on the amount of money you inserted you’d (presumably) have access to a better tier of desirable cards. It’s definitely not gambling though.

Have seen Tropical Winds and Unikarps for sale in shops during my time here. Very rare though. Just a case of luck for what’s available at the time really. There’s no steady stream of these things coming in.

Any masters scrolls out there in the wild you have seen before recently ?

Still pretty cool too see those out in the wild

I think the most interesting cards I’ve seen are a Unikarp, and players promo Flareon ex, Jolteon ex, and Shining Magikarp.
