There’s a lot here which I’d love to see but is in my eyes at least entirely unreasonable. The one thing that I want that “might” happen is the rest of the forums in the TCG which include 8 mégas and some other things.
This is kind of out-there, but I would love to see the return of “Team” based cards that have unique artwork / borders. It has been seven years since we have seen Pokemon associated with a particular team (Team Plasma from the three Plasma sets). Team Flare / Skull / Yell have all had various trainers printed, but no Pokemon have been designated to those teams.
Getting more of those would be awesome. In 2015 we actually got sub-set called Double Crisis with Team Aqua’s and Team Magma’s Pokémon. Here is the Bulbapedia link:
Maybe its just me, but there are so many awesome and obvious things they could still borrow just from the history of nonsports cards alone that I’m more interested in seeing them branch out than lean on retired concepts. The game is still incredibly young and it feels more creative to bring out the throwbacks on a 10 year cycle than depend on them regularly.
Your me, you’ve got a million tabs but you glance on here in hope of some light before getting back to work. You even have responses backlogged for months because you know the cost of spending too much on here versus actual matters of life. You see a question that speaks light to everyone and they all say their typical cliche normie responses before you yet your main agenda towards pokémon speaks the same logic of the question even further, more personal and extreme relativity that the daunting presence of that question asked in front of you can only make you utter your truest purest Freudian autistic reaction.
Don’t worry and I appreciate that a lot more then you might assume. I haven’t forgot about your posts that I need to get to. Yep, that plural. Sucks. I got some old eggs to still crack and eat.
How about they have a little self respect and dignity and stop using 5ban? It’s lazy and cheap. They know they can get away with anything so they throw out creativity and give us the same 5ban cards resubmitted in different color schemes.
I’d also enjoy 1st edition cards (1 print run). To keep things exciting, they should mix those cards in with the normal releases. So any time you open a pack, you might end up with a rarer-print run card.
Gen 4’s sets Supreme Victors which the Charizard @qwachansey posted above is from as well as Rising Rivals the set before SV have many Pokemon owned by gym leaders, Elite 4 members, Team Galactic members, Cynthia, and even Frontier Brains. They are some great cards! Here are some of my favorites along with the Charizard from above:
I’d like to see them bring back good quality control and card centering… but for the cards themselves, maybe some recognition for the less popular pokemon or other generations instead of just moving on to another version of charizard and pikachu every set.
Individual reverse holo pattern for each set! It’s one of the reason why ex-era is so good and every set had it’s own identity. I would love to see that coming back.
