Hey everyone! I was sold an unlimited Neo Revelation Blissey card as a double holo error, and I cannot tell upon receiving it if it actually is. I checked previous posts on the topic, but I am still unclear and would appreciate guidance from those more informed than me. I also see that PSA does not have it show up as an option unlike other Neo Rev holos, so also wanted to confirm that it is possible to have a Blissey double holo error. See below for pictures and thanks in advance for any help!
Yeah it is. When it comes to the neo rev double holos, the most telltale sign you are looking for is generally going to be an outline, or lack thereof.
Take for example a regular chansey:
You see the white outline surrounding it? This is looking at it straight on, just as you showed in your first picture. The other 2 pictures aren’t helpful since chansey specifically has this glow, unlike other neo rev cards. We’re not talking about the glow. We’re talking about the clear hard white line surrounding most of chansey. Easiest to see on her head on on her sides.
For the harder-to-identify neo revs, it is usually this lack of outline. Another harder example here:
The white line on top of him wouldn’t be there on the double.
Blissey and several other Neo Revelation holos will never get the designation because they are so minimal and difficult to discern. The main ones that will get the error designation by grading companies are: Celebi, Crobat, Ho-Oh, Houndoom, Misdreavus, Shining Magikarp, Shining Gyarados.
Was just on ebay and saw a Blissey labeled as a CGC Double Holo error and had to do some research. It turns out CGC added the designation at the end of July for all neo rev holos! https://www.cgccards.com/news/article/13125/
Awesome article from CGC, rivals the caliber of some articles done here! I love that
