That really depends on what you feel makes it complete.
Did you include every type of card variant (regular, poke, master, AR, SAR, BWR, promos) or only certain ones?
I’m working on one as well.
For me the master set is all the ARs and SARs along with the BWR Resh and Zek (no normal cards or normal full arts or poke/master balls) in dex order.
The full dex of ARs, SARs, plus the BWR are what makes the set special to me so that’s all I’m going to grab from it.
At first I wasn’t even going to go for my version of the master set because I only like 17 pokemon from Gen 5, to me it is the ugliest gen by far.
But then when all the special arts got revealed I liked around half of them. That is rare for me as I am very particular about the art I like.
Because so many different artists showed off their skill on a bunch of ugly Pokemon so well I ended up liking a bunch of their pieces I decided to master it.
Since there is a promo Victini AR and regular AR I just went with the regular because I don’t care for spending money to have the same AR card art twice.
This would only change for me if an AR I liked got a promo that had the same art but with a different foil treatment. Having a different set letters, or saying promo, or an exclusive crossover brand stamp is not enough for me to get another AR.
As for the Victini BWR I’ll get it in English when it dips a good amount, unless the Japanese one can dip substantially as well which is very unlikely.
Was able to get all the ARs along with the Whimsicott and Excadrill SARs in one swoop from Buyee before the tariff bs for about $460 USD (average of $3.15 a card) and now filling the higher priced gaps of SARs and the BWRs slowly since I’m collecting other new cards and old chases all at the same time.
Glad to hear you are almost done, and can’t wait to see your finished set and how you present it!
