I tried out the PSA research request function to see if they would grade the packs 4th print polish sticker and this is the response I got. Cool that they will accept it, but dropping it to a 7 means its pretty much useless, better to just peel the sticker off
“Thank you for your patience with this request.
We will accept these packs, but they will affect the grade, starting at a PSA 7. The label itself will read “base foil pack” (UK), so it will not mention the Polish distribution sticker. The pack itself was made in the UK, so that is how it will be labeled, unless the pack itself was made in Poland, and the publication information is in Polish.
I hope this helps!”
I dunno about useless, as stated in this thread it’s thought that you are more likely of pulling a 1999-2000 holo out of one of these packs with the sticker on so removing it would do more harm than good imo.
Though to me grading a pack altogether is useless if you are doing it for the actual grade 1-10, you don’t have to be an expert grader to tell if a pack is in good shape or not, the only reason would be to add credibility, to help reassure that it’s genuine and not tampered with. (Though I’m aware PSA has graded resealed packs before)
Interesting how they would give it a 7 because of the label though considering they were folding packs for years and marking them as 10’s lol.. imo packs shouldn’t be given a grade just an authentic label, if the packs damaged don’t grade it ¯\_ (ツ)_/¯
