I pulled a Shadowless holo Pokémon card again!

To be fair, weighed packs are an unavoidable reality. Since everyone and their dog are selling pokemon cards, whenever a business buys a collection, the sealed product is most likely already weighed. Therefore the most realistic option is just listing the exact weight of each pack.

The problem is you were previously trying to sell heavy packs for $750 when you already pulled a charizard and blastoise from your “2” boxes. When you were called out about it you deleted your posts and went about posting videos of you opening them.

You see, it doesn’t matter if you declare it (it can still hit the market later and not be declared-you started it though). It may even make it worse.
You say “weighed” and get 100.00
That buyer doesn’t say “weighed” and gets 150.00.
Either way, it makes you both appear disreputable.

What’s everyone’s opinion on live box breaks?

This still leads to the problem where people would weigh the packs they receive and can resell them; albeit at a loss.

This is interesting.
As I think I showed Scott, I have a bunch of foreign Base and other packs that I didn’t have a clue if they were weighed or not. I don’t even know where I got them 20 years ago. So I weighed them all and wrote the weight on each sleeve. I still don’t know what the weights mean or how many holos are in any of them. I did it so if I ever sold any I could show what they weigh and let the buyers figure it out. Of course like with most things, I never sold any anyway lol.

I have packs from two boxes. One with long seal packs and one short seal packs. Very evident. I pulled the zard from short seal packs. If you take a look at the videos, you’ll see I have packs from two different boxes.

Additionally, there is an equal chance of pulling any holo. You can pull doubles of any holo.

This is true. I pulled 3 Charizards out of a Base 1st Box…and they all graded 10;)

Packs are expensive, plain and simple. I don’t know at one point someone should be expected to weigh a pack, but a shadowless pack is VERY expensive. Gary said himself to always expect a loose booster to be weighed.

So, following that I always expect that myself. I know most packs I buy will probably be weighed. I once bought six first edition base set packs, but they were weighed. I don’t have any regrets because I know at a certain price most people can not afford to open a pack that has zip. That’s why so few people open old boxes completely at this point.

On another note,@thecharizardauthorty is offering money to open other peoples boxes, so I wonder how many hits he will actually get. How many people want to open an entire box? Will getting 10% the cost make them feel it is worth sending it to Rusty? I’m interested to see what he gets.

They’re an indicator of how strong the hobby is.

You always pay more than what you can buy the loose packs for online but you pay this premium because they’re not weighed (which can be faked, videos guarantee nothing imo) …but I wouldn’t want to open them.

If you open the pack, unless you pull a gem mint copy of one of the more desirable cards you’re going to neg. You then need to pay to get the card graded and wait.

You can buy psa 9 (and even 10) copies of most of the cards you could possibly get from these packs for slightly more than what it will cost you to enter the break. Some graded 10 wotc holos or Tpci ultra rares will sell for less than what the ticket costs.

It’s just gambling with extra steps.
