my favorite things in my collection is my vintage boosters, I have several base, a shadowless, a 1996 base jpn.I only buy graded but want to shop for raws and maybe grade myself perhaps to add to my collection. i want more but I can’t afford slabbed packs all the time and I’m too paranoid of resealed stuff to shop for raws. I don’t want to miss out on the raw pack market because I could afford many more great things that way- plus theres no guaranteed a graded pack is 100 percent legit itself I understand that. I’m just so paranoid about sealed packs being fake its hard to collect that… i hate packs because i love packs, make sense?- help lol
rusty charges a premium or full price rather which is fair but… basically the safest way is to avoid the bargain hunting all together? no way to fully trust a pack on ebay?
There’s no goldilocks seller who is a trustworthy saint who vets all their sealed pack purchases and then will sell them for bargain prices.
The solution to your problem is very simple and is to buy from an established and reputable source. But this increases the price. Peace of mind or deal pack, pick one.
If you want to be fully assured that a pack is authentic, you’ll have to pay a premium. You can definitely find authentic packs for FMV on eBay, but it sounds like you’re keeping the packs sealed and want 100% confidence in them. If so, your best bet is probably just to pay the premium. Otherwise, you’re never going to be fully confident in any pack you buy – you’re always going to have a lingering suspicion that it’s resealed (even if that suspicion is unfounded).
I want to bid on these lower priced packs the same way I do with cards. ive found many deals on cards but i know I’m haggling and dealing on authentics… great deals that way and much success
but packs are 100 millions times harder to authenticate and I never know whether to bid or not and miss out on good deals I presume
