So, this card came fresh out of a pack like this:
The rest of the card is flawless, it’s just that it has specks of holographic foil at spots where it shouldn’t be. Any idea how this might have happened and how PSA would grade it? I don’t even know if this is to be considered damage? Or did the ink above the holofoil go off at some spots?
Was it a loose pack you purchased? Could have shifted around in the pack over the years and rubbed off. I would imagine the edges would also have damage as well then though. I think PSA would just consider it damage.
Certain EX’s from Primal Clash had this same issue in larger scale, however the white specs were on backside. From what I’ve seen it’s a coin flip between PSA 8 and 9 if the card is fine otherwise.
No other damages on the front or back, just what you see on the picture. Small specks of holo. The packs all felt normal and tight.

I have graded a few EX cards like this. I had mixed results. some PSA didn’t care and gave 10s, some 8s
