How to store sealed cards (?)

Hi!

I’m new to the community and I have just started collecting this year. I had some cards when I was little but I made holes on them so that I could store them in a binder hahaha They were first editions from the sets from 96 but well… life lol

Now I’m really concerned with keeping the cards in mint condition and I had a question about sealed cards. I have a couple of them and I want to keep them sealed for the future, but how should I store them?

I’m worried that I might damage them if I put them in toploaders, specially those that come two cards in one sealed pack. I don’t want to hurt the back of the first card and the front of the second one… However, I don’t want them to bend either so I don’t know what’s the best way to store them.

Anyone more experienced than me with sealed cards?

I would really appreciate your help

I put mine in Ultra Pro Tarot card sleeves, they are slightly rigid, but don’t offer the protection of a toploader. They won’t fit into toploaders unless you fold the plastic flaps, and its way too tight of a fit.

I didn’t know those either, tony. Thanks  Do you think that they are as tight as the regular toploaders, maybe more or less tight?

There are also toploaders made to handle thicker cards. Check out these listings and each one shows measurements for thicknesses that they can handle.

I used to store mine in Card Savers and then in a resealable Ultra Pro “Team Bag.” Works pretty well.

Great! Thanks for all your ideas and help

Bingo… To properly protect cello wrapped cards from transfer indentations and other related damage, use thick top loaders normally used for swatch/patch sports cards. Then place tp in a sleeve and seal it.
