How much premium should be given to having the Shield with the Trophy Card

It seems I have come along the path as many of you, where I am now chasing AA, Design contes, Trophies etc.

I am currently looking to buy my first trophy card, and have come across one still with its Shield. The card itself is probably and 8 or 9 so I will likely not grade it and keep the set together. My question is when it comes to price, is there a premium with the Shield than without, if so how much is that premium?

Yes, I would put a premium on a card with a shield. I have seen shields sell on their own in the $2k-$4k range in the last year or so. That would increase imo for more rare shields, these were victory orb/ring shields.

I would make sure it’s an authentic shield and not a Vhett replica shield. Vhett shields are clearly marked as replicas, but if you’re not looking for it may overlook it!

I paid ~$1000 for shields.

I think it depends on the card. I’ve had 10k offers on some of my shields, but there is a range from something like a mysterious pearl, pika ring, or old back numbered trophy.
