How many graded slabs do you own?

I currently have 53 slabs, all displayed on my wall

No more than 10 slabs. Although most of my collection is binder, I think graded cards display much better, so I keep a few of my favorites slabs on my dresser and nightstand.

I probably have just under 100 slabs, along with probably about 300 cards in card savers :sob: at this point ive been trying to make a hard shift towards binders and only buy a small, specific few cards slabbed. I think being more intentional and specific about what graded cards i buy will help me enjoy my slabbed cards more, tho ive been trying to appreciate them more in general.

Cheers!

I probably have around 100. Over the past few months I have been selling them to purchase binder cards. I will always be a binder collector. I have a couple graded cards that i will hold onto because they mean a lot to me though.

Typically i will buy a psa or cgc 7 or 8 and crack them for my binder. Relying on ebay sellers to tell me they are NM can be a nightmare on older cards.

Sold off majority of my graded cards. I have about 15, really concentrating on my binders and enjoying it a lot more so that’ll be the focus for now

Binders are the way! I really enjoy the hobby when I do my binders and stay off social media in regards to pokemon cards and the constant hype mentality

16, my new collection goal will lower that to 8.
Maybe when I’ve completed it will drop lower to just my favourite. I do struggle sometimes with price vs enjoyment with graded cards compared to binder cards.

I have a little over 50 at the moment but used to have a lot more. I’ve consolidated a lot of my graded collection into more rare/valuable graded cards.

Now most of my collection is ungraded. I have a lot of cards that are worth being slabbed up but I keep telling myself, “oh I’ll send them all once I get X card” or “ya know, these look nice in a binder together” lol.

I currently have ~170 on my PSA registry and maybe 10 CGC’s. I import raw japanese cards, grade them, keep my favorites, and sell the rest so that’s how it grows. Although I do admit, recently, I’ve been more into the idea of getting back into my binder collections instead of grading for personal.

I have 30 slabs in my collection, and i also have 50 constantly for sale from grading plays. I prefer my collection to be binders and sealed product.

The graded cards In my collection are my fav pokemon cards and ones that i believe will be great investments to be sold in 10+years, same as the sealed.

Not as many as I would like to. Being from Europe, I do not have easy access to PSA grading, plus I do not like to “gamble” with trying to buy some more expensive cards raw, because of the NM card not being really NM (this got worse since 2020, before that I could buy NM from random sellers and the card condition would be accurate majority of the time). Of course, you can then try to return the card, or request some compensation, but this would leave bad taste in my mouth - I would be disappointed that I haven’t received what I wanted and the seller would be annoyed that I’m “complaining”.

I’m shocked how many people here have like <50 slabs

I think a lot of newcomers (me included) are kinda slabbed out after 2020-21. Personally, i pretty much bunny hopped right over binder collecting and went straight into slabs. I am now realizing that likely wasnt the best decision and it seems a lot of others are too

Add on ~20 signatures and ~40 CGC slabs or so, coming up on 500 here soon.

I thought there’d be quite a few more here with 1000+. I usually have somewhere between 1000 and 1500 at any given time.

Have graded cards always been called “slabs” I feel like that term really popped off these last few years. I could be wrong though.

Agreed. Arguably one of the top 3 Arita Gyarados arts in my opinion.

I guess I have around 800 graded vintage cards. I often buy 8 and up because they are cheaper than raw.
