To all those who open alot of modern product, whether it be readily available out of print or still in print, how common have you all come across errors?
I think errors freaking rule, and I would love to pull an error myself, I’ve never had the pleasure. Any kind of error at all (other then like a base set vulpix hp type error where every one is an error). I’d really like to pull some kind of super radical off the wall one off type of error! Anyway, is it frequent enough that I could get away with spending like 500 bucks on some booster boxes and get something? Or in people’s experiences have these been like once in a lifetime type stuff?

Miscuts and off centered cards are very common. Random ink errors do happen too but not as often. I wouldn’t recommend buying product in the hopes of pulling an error. Just stick to ebay to see what pops up. I’ve only ever pulled two miscuts myself. It is rewarding but I also wasn’t searching for them. Buy packs here and there and you may get lucky. Throwing money at packs is not a good strategy.
I agree with @fritz . I’ve only ever pulled one error myself (coincidentally it was a Delibird ink error ), and my little brother once pulled the no retreat cost Marill. If you like errors, the best advice I can give you is to buy errors. I agree it’s very cool to pull an error yourself, but you could buy loads of error singles for the same price as buying 250+ packs in the hope to pull just a single error (for which there isn’t even a guarantee you’d succeed).
I think with modern Pokémon TCG cards the most common errors are off-centered cards and miscuts, followed by ink misprints. I do have the feeling I see more posts about those kind of errors on reddit since the start of Sun & Moon with English cards, but maybe it’s just a coincidence and I wasn’t paying enough attention on those kind of posts in the past.
If you really want to ‘open’ an error you could buy a crimped sealed promo. Although it’s not the same of course.
Also, just my opinion though, if you buy packs with as main goal to pull an error and you then actually do, it would probably still feel different than opening packs randomly in search for other cards, and finding an error out of nowhere in between them. Just my 2c.
