Thats a good point. However, I don’t think purchases of fake cards are having a big impact on new product sales, whether that be from Pokemon direct or a 3rd party store like yourself.
I just looked it up, you can buy a fake Pikachu Illustrator on ebay for $12.00. Is the buyer of a fake card really not buying a new booster box because they bought a $12 fake card? I would say no.
I’m not saying its a good thing, just that these fakes have such a small impact on Nintendo’s sales numbers, and that is why they don’t do anything about it.
