Not really sure I’m understanding what you’re saying here.

If you are talking about what kinds of signings do the illustrators do - we do offer to have them sign however you wish. During the purchase process there is an area where you put exactly what you want and then we send out an additional email immediately making sure you know how to post things, where to post them and how to label your individual items. I will update the FAQ section with this information as well as soon as possible.

Thanks!

Yes this is one of the many issues that happens when people “bum rush” and private message illustrators and event organizers privately without even speaking their own language. I have translators who meet with them personally and discuss exactly who we are and what we do to work on their terms for what they do and do not want to do.

We had Harada booked for a signing in September in Norway but someone got her MAD at an event by asking for over 300 signings and all for free and then turned around and started selling them.

This is NOT the point of my service however you are allowed to do as you wish with your cards but ideally, this is not the way one would go about it. My prices are on the higher side because I pay the artists/talent on top of their normal fees for private signing events.

Speaking of which; all future events with Get Autographed minus the conventions we prepare will be private.

Recent private events were in Ohio and Missouri.

Take Arita. How much does he charge at a show or convention? And what do you charge?

So is this an actual company or just a guy middling autographs?

I spoke with a few of the recent event organizers and no one knows who they are or any actual business details. I think that would be useful information for consumer confidence.

If this is simply a person middling autographs, make sure there is some sort of tangible accountability before submitting. Especially considering multiple artists now have backed out and/or permanently stopped signing in certain regions.

Arita has recently upped his pricing to $25 a signature from $15. For this signing we now charge $70 base rate and for every 50 items the price goes up $10.

Please see prior post about the history of the company. We are not just one guy running around grabbing signatures, we use an entire team to make sure that everything is handled properly and even contracts with our contacts work in their favor. Our company includes translators, web designers, traveling agents for events based on regions and even a full time processing specialist for packages and legal “stuff”.

@getautographed, Is there a website or resource where I can see the team?

Really trying to emphasize transparency so people can get an understanding of the process. For example, if I am sending $1000 worth of cards, I would want to know who handles them, the process, etc.

“Claiming insurance fraud” vs. just bringing up the discussion of it’s potential are two different things. Obviously anyone removed from the situation and knowing nothing about it would have that on a list of possible scenarios when working through things logically, but it shouldn’t be introduced as he did.

Also with all the folks we see in the news today losing jobs, customers, respect and such things over use of certain words and slurs and then to openly use them against people you don’t know in public view takes a certain special kind of individual. A certain special kind of individual who obviously could use the trust from others and would command none of mine. A certain kind of individual ironically also running a business that opens the possibility for him to commit fraud, forgery, theft and all kinds of malfeasance if he so chose to. (not remotely claiming it at all, just calling attention to the irony as to his own position of being prone to damages from the same kind of slander)

Why do people in this hobby have to be so terrible to one another?

Thank you for sharing. Not going to lie I got this exact kind of “bro” vibe from him when I watched a video that he was in. I didn’t want to jump to conclusions or make assumptions though but this reinforces my initial impression.

What does he have to do with the SSB card? Or were you just asking for his opinion and he went off with that rant?

At least it serves as a Public Service Announcement for all potential future customers when they do it so shamelessly and publicly in plain sight.

I don’t care. If he provides a good service, I’ll use him

@tonysandlin, Part of providing a good service is not making libelous claims about upstanding people in the community. Its one thing if someone has differing political views and you support their business. This is straight up defamation.

Oh and these “we” flippers middling autographs is why all Japanese artists except arita have stopped doing US signings. Florida’s last signing was an absolute shit show. Some people waited 4-8 hours in line to not get anything signed, because flippers showed up with boxes of cards.

Nothing against you personally but I do wish people took the morality and integrity of the people involved into consideration when purchasing items or services. I understand he offers a very unique service that (as far as i know) is the only service of its kind, but I personally couldn’t support the growth of someone with a mentality like that. Not knowing or caring about the sources of our products and service is a huge issue in the modern world imo.
