Hey everyone. I’ll give my own example that just happened and I look forward to hearing any similar stories!

A father reached out to me and said he wanted to buy some Shiny Star V boxes for his son’s birthday, who is turning 8. I remember how excited I was with Pokemon when I was that age.

Apparently the son watches a bunch of pack opening videos on Youtube and doesn’t mind collecting Japanese. As I’m sure most of you know, Shiny Star V is a ‘high-class’ set so the average booster box has a lot of exciting stuff in it. I think a lot of kids would have a blast with it.

The father just sent me videos of the son’s reaction. “THESE ARE THE RAREST POKEMON BOOSTER BOXES IN THE WORLD!” Haha. He was so excited!

After he opened one of the boxes and was looking at the cards: “This is like a dream come true, I like all of these cards, thank you very much!”

I can neither confirm or deny that I cried when I saw the videos…that was so cool. :blush:

Great experience, @lhh . Selling to those kind of people is so much more rewarding than just a regular customer. :blush:

I personally haven’t sold that many cards thus far, so not too many experiences like that. I did help some collectors with their single Pokémon collections, the most recent being @nish with his Japanese TMB Krabby card.

One buyer I do remember was a guy with a Polish girlfriend, who bought some Polish cards from me to surprise her for her birthday.

I had this happen one time, he uses quite a bit of language by the way. Start at the bottom of the first picture and go up. I love doing stuff like this if I can.
