Grey stamps

Just wondering…Is there a Thick grey stamp 1st ed and a Thin grey stamp 1st ed??

All the grey holos are thin and virtually all non holos are thick (I say virtually as there are some thin stamp non holos as @acebren can attest so it is possible that you could find a thin grey non-holo but would be easier finding gold on the moon)

All of the grey stamps should be thin due to the printers running out of ink for the 1st ed stamp. The thick version are due to to much ink.

Incorrect; thick grey non holo, you would be pressed to find a thin stamp non holo let alone thin grey stamp

All grey stamp Holos = Thin
99.999% grey stamp Non Holos = Thick
99.9% Non Holo = Thick

xD That is what I am understanding. Is that correct?

It’s the other way around. Thin/thick refers to the width of the “1”. So thin stamps are pressed hard, like with 1st editions after Base (Jungle, Fossil, etc.) Thick are the default Base non-holos.

Ps: If anyone has a Grey Red Cheeks Pikachu or regular Thin stamp Pikachu (grey or red cheeks combined with thin is also fine :slightly_smiling_face: ) let me know.

they aren’t really that grey!!

not much of a difference…

I think the team rocket set has a higher grey / dark difference, but i know… it’s not as cool as 1st edition base

Holos are considerably more noticeable:

@scratchdesk Beat me to it, the holos are more distinctive. There is more of a market for the holos as well. I have some U/C cards that I am unsure if they are grey, heather grey, burnt sienna.
