Right move : sell high in private, above market public sales price, and buy low in public auctions. Easy 
Yeah thereās been 3 sales in the last month or so on fanatics alone all under 30k. Unless there is something special about the specific copies he is asking for I donāt get it

Naw, Mine is an EU copy. I canāt find another EU copy for sale. Plus I have an offer above his offer on my copy anyway.
But yes, I would have done that already and not have posted on E4 about the cash offer lol.
Seems like no one wants to sell this card right now. He canāt seem to find a seller even at way above last comps with all cashā¦

I mean it is pretty simple? He canāt find a sellerā¦ Itās not like he can go online and pick one up for last comp? All prices on eBay right now are 50K+ā¦
We work in the realm of hard to aquire limited items. These arenāt just readily available to buy all the time at the same price.
The less there is on the market public or private, the higher the price has to be for people to let their items go.
Even with the E4 Member I connected with that has a copy was very hesitant and decided not to sell even at 40K cash. (Now 45K) The card means more to him than 40K and it seems the Available market agrees along with him. Maybe not the public market, but most definitely the private market.

Never give up on the gold star. Keep pushing even for played conditions if you must ( of course be happy with the copy your buying ) I always believe get the grail you always have been wanting the most. Even if patience and time is required. You will always be happy once you have it as it will be a win you wonāt ever forget.

I only looked up the sales because you mentioned he had been looking for months or at least a month. He would have had the opportunity to buy 2-3 for less than his ask. I definitely understand the EU thing though, that makes sense to me.
I just feel like I did the minimum amount of background work someone looking to buy would do and it didnt add up. Its why we shouldnt gawk at the people who doubt private sales, the same way those people shouldnt gawk at those who do private sales. They are, in many cases, disconnected markets

But yes, that is a great alternative! Funny enough the sale prices of a PSA 10 075/L-P is slightly below what I purchase my GS Ray a couple years agoā¦

rayray in a 9 is def not rare enough to not be up for auction at least every couple months
in fact prolly 99.9% of cards have been up for auction at least once since the last covid pump no matter how ārareā they are typholsion #17 is really the only one i can recall that hasnt been

Totally understand he had multiple opportunities to buy in auction/BIN, I donāt control the guyās decision making. But the fact still remains that he has a solid price cash offer on the table for anyone to come out of the wood works here on E4, and no one has taken him up on itā¦
Here out of all places, the most invested people in the hobby that consist of people that have bought 1st Ed base set booster boxes for 500-1K before and are potentially the largest holders of the rarest cards in the hobby and no one wants to step forward and sell their GS Ray for the 11K above last comp full cash.
I mean, the proof is in the pudding.
Someone can forward tomorrow and later today and the matter would be over. But every person that I have talked to is not selling. Everyone is buying GS rays right now like they are bars of silver in Chinaā¦ I know of 3 big IG collectors/consigners that are actively looking for them in PSA 9: Khai, Mushu, and KNM. Bet there are many many more.
But there are more than 200 PSA 9 copies right ? Talking to 10 people is not representative at all. Thereās always at least one or two for sale on the IG accounts I follow. On the other hand I see a lot of people looking for PSA 10s.. Thereās a huge craze for PSA 10s..

Totally agree. Logic would say there are 200+ out there, but when that is out into practice, the only ones available on the market is 6/200 on eBay/fanatics/etcā¦
If everyone else is eager to sell, where are they located?
That is why I am posting here on E4 so someone that is not public comes forward.
Update:
Another member has gotten into contact with me about his GS Ray at the asking price. But his E4 account is 10 hours old 
So I am assuming it is a scam.
For future reference to anyone reading, if you plan on doing any type of business on E4, PLEASE make yourself known to everyone on the forum and build up credibility. I have had 3 newer E4 members (created 30 days or less) try to scam me. This isnāt my first rodeo

I donāt doubt that there is someone with fomo and money that put out a 45k bounty, happily negotiating against themselves. At the same time, itās kinda weird how hard youāre pushing the card being impossible to find and all 200 copies being squirreled away in bunkers. Youāre obviously motivated for the card to keep going up in value, perhaps you can go a few posts without trying to sell the scarcity to E4.
