Wow. That’s a noteworthy drop off. I saw a couple in Aki with askings of 10k+ about two months ago.
Settling at 5-6K sounds right.

For a mass produced box promo with a 60% chance of hitting a PSA 10, 6k is fundamentally overvalued for me.

No public sales as far as I’m aware as the few gold stars that are selling >100k are not selling via public sales.

No not at all, very valid question. Many choose to place more scrutiny on private sales data vs public but that is all we have for some of these cards now. Worth keeping in mind (for the skeptics) that some of the English GS 10s are below pop 30 and many below pop 50 so it’s only normal for these low pop cards to slow and for it to increasingly move towards private sales vs. auctions. In saying that, this was a big focus of a discussion previously which de-railed the thread so this thread has just become the place to post sales data for gold stars rather than debate it.

the other ex deoxys ones are prolly like 150k or something

yeah well just like in 2021 stuff didnt increase at the same rate this time around and it is almost a completely different set of cards that has seen the biggest % increase
ur prolly thinking that because charbar was worth more than basically all of the others besides rayray and torchic (and only in a 10 coz torchic basically all of the value was in its difficultly to grade but who even knows anymore) before this year
ex deoxys seems to have blown away all the others as the most desirable set
also forgot that the love birds was almost at 10k at one point (seems to have come back down a bit) so that could be why gold star latia are so high

Wait for the card to be really paid for (unless it’s yours ?)). Lately a PSA 9 trophy King have been purchased for 150k on Fanatics, but it was a fake buyer in the end. And the card is back on sale. But everyone was already advertising the ‘fake’ sale

I have a card that shows up on Fanatics sold listings as sold on December 11, but it hasn’t been paid yet so I wouldn’t conclude the Charizard has been paid.

So unless PWCC removes it from the sold listings page we should assume paid for tho. Why assume the opposite. People just super jaded here - every record sale is fake?

I understand it’s annoying to have people question every sale as most of these record sales are likely legit, but in the current market with many people trying to hype and pump cards for their own motives it makes sense to question these sales, especially for gold stars. The card in question for me that sold Dec. 11th is a Gold Star with a record sale in its grade and I suspect it will eventually be relisted. Alternatively I sold another card a week later for what I’m pretty sure is a record sale and I wouldn’t blame anyone who questioned it even though I know it’s been paid.
