I believe this is very much a āātrust me broāā situation, perhaps I shouldnāt even post them hereā¦ I donāt trust Kantoshark at all, but on the other hand it wouldnāt surprise me massively if these numbers were real

I just wish heād use the actual card that sold, not a stock photo - otherwise I donāt doubt it being real.

I wouldnāt trust it. Other sellers show the card that is sold with cert.

Iāve had some insane offers on my GS 10s recently. Iām not selling but yeah those prices from Kanto are approx what others are offering also.

Another interesting observation is that ex era stuff is just becoming so scarce for public sales (whether thatās boxes or GS 10s or certain ex 10s). Liquidity has dried up and more deals are being done privately.

a) a buyer grossly overpaid last sold in a private BIN that no one else has seen
b) someone lied on social media

That was our card. I returned it to consignor at CAC Cleveland on Saturday, I guess itās possible Kanto sourced it as a middle man at the show and sold it to another thus a āsoldā but thatās the only way. Then again, he may have just used our available photo as it was listed on eBay for a couple months.

you must only buy when the price has 5x and everyone else is buying

Just saw Z&G posting about a psa 9 Japanese Gold Star Rayquaza unlimited selling for 9k confirmed paid. No idea what these go for before so maybe not a huge deal ?

Was talking to someone at a card show who had a gold star for sale at 2.4k because that was the last sale and the sale before that like a month ago was 1.2k

Someone I know is offering to sell me their Japanese 1st Edition GS Ray for 25k. It seems fair in this crazy market, but since the price hasnāt moved in over a year, Iām not really keen

25k is nuts, the japanese gs are worth a fraction of the english ones (exception being the the 3 dogs coz the english ones of those r trash). ppl are probably only paying ridiculous prices because the english ones arent available.
