I was wondering if people generally abide by some rule of “light pack weight” * “some multiplier” = heavy pack price? (when sold recent listings don’t exist obviously)
Nothing is set in stone rn unfortunately. Different sets have different prize cards. So you’d have to go by each set individually.
Heavy first Ed base, 8k
Light 1.5k
Heavy jungle first Ed 300
Light jungle first Ed 120.
It all depends on the set, there is no set rule or formula across the board for light vs. heavy.
hmm yeah I was just curious I guess Ill just use my best judgement and alter it if nobody bites
Probably is a function of the chase cards in the set and not so linear as I had hoped
Couple rules i like to use:
- Value of the cheapest PSA 10 holo
- 3x the value of a light pack
Generally the lesser of the 2.
Edit: doesn’t apply to base 1st
i am not the greatest at math, but however those MTG sites figure out EV of a booster box, you can do that on a pack in pokemon. i would say another element to consider is also the range of potential value you can pull. obvie with 1st edition, the chance at a 60k card can bump it quite a bit. the speculative nature is hard to quantify, so you will only be able to tell from how the market reacts.
