Game: This or That

After the resounding (and continuing) success of my “guess the card” thread, I’ve dreamed up another fun game we can all play

THIS OR THAT

Scenario: A mysterious stranger approaches you and shows you two Pokemon cards. The stranger says to you “I will give you one of these Pokemon cards for free. Which one do you choose? THIS or THAT?”

In reality, the stranger is just us on e4 and we take turns posting haha. I will start us off. The first person to respond must:

1. choose THIS or THAT
2. explain WHY they chose the card
3. Then they continue the game and post another set of cards

Reshiram (that) I’ve never seen the card before the Himeno signing, I love the texture, and think it’s highly underrated. The Mario one I just can’t get behind. I know it’s very popular and think the collaboration is well done, but the investment hype channels have made it a bit distasteful right now.

I prefer lugia with a more calmer art than a raging lugia. But not a fan of either art work, I like Pokémon Art where the Pokémon are calm & collected and aren’t about to shoot out a hyper beam.

I love reshiram and I love roses, so reshiram. Plus I have a damaged copy so it’s an upgrade.

I choose Neo Discovery Umbreon. The illustration looks very magical, as if from the pages of some old fairytale book.

Absolutely that. Unique beautiful artwork and an iconic piece of pokemon tcg history, unikarp is naturally cool too but since the artwork was repeated in web i would always go for more unique one of these rarity tiers

That. I prefer the zoom zoom artwork on the Latios, although I don’t have any particular affinity with either of these Pokemon.

That, i’ve never been the biggest fan of mew & mewtwo alt art but the pikachu is just pure gold.
