Full Art Masked Royal Price? Why?

Hello everyone!

I was looking on eBay for random Japanese promos and came across the Masked Royal. Since I like to collect Sun and Moon character full art trainer cards I would like to add it to the binder but the prices are thousands of dollars graded?

Can anyone help me out and educate me as to why this card is so expensive? Is it just weird sellers or is that a real price for that card?

It is a real price. It was only distributed to winners of TCG tournaments in Japan, and was limited to 100 copies, so that’s where the exorbitant costs come from.

Not TCG tournament, but lottery

I think all Champions of the Shining Legends based tournament received this card, like the Zekrom HR recently.

Haha, so true. This single Full Art Supporter costed more than all the 98 others combined (including the two PSA-10 Team Rocket Brief Case promos). Paid 3500 USD for my PSA-10 The Masked Royal, my most expensive card to date (which I hope to never exceed again…)

PS: The Masked Royal is also available in Korean, but instead of being limited to 100 copies, there were only 30… So the prices are also very high, if not higher.
