Hey guys. Curious on what would be a good price to pay for a FPO charizard in lightly played condition and if there’s room for growth in your guys’ opinions. Aren’t too many recent sales and it’s a pretty unique card. If anyone is extra knowledgeable on the recent market of FPO I’d love to learn something new! Any insight is greatly appreciated!
I bought mine last May for $1600. It’s encapsulated by PSA as a test card (green label). I would consider the card mint. I hope that helps you. As far as growth…I consider it a pretty niche collectible, but as long as there are Charizard collectors there will be a market.

Not entirely sure it is fair to call it “encapsulated by PSA as a test card” when green green labels are for any custom encapsulation.
Custom Encapsulation Test card (exact wording on label)…fixed it for you. I added that little detail because I am sure you are well aware you can’t get these encapsulated by PSA as of now, and the OP needs info to determine a fair price…not trying to be unfair.

Looking at recent sales, I would say this card in NM-Mint condition is probably around the $2500 mark now. I have been monitoring the prices over the past few years, I brought mine around 2014/2015 in mint condition ungraded for around $300 and obviously there has been a lot of growth since then as with the hobby as a whole though. In terms of future growth hard to tell as its so niche but as white rabbit said there is always a market for Charizard cards.
