Fake Sealed Evolving Skies Booster Case Scam in 2026

Hi E4,

If you have purchased a sealed evolving skies booster box case recently and/or looking to buy, please double check all the details I will point out. I would also like to lean on the community to flush out all the details.

I have purchased 3 sealed evolving skies booster box case in the past 2 weeks and they are all fraud. All purchased on eBay: 1x consignment auction, 2x BIN individual seller. All 3 cases have journey together BB inside and my conclusion is that the label was removed from journey together case then fake Evolving Skies Case label was generated and applied. I compared authentic already opened and verified case vs fake:

-The labels are different in spacing especially first row. The authentic label also has more rounded corners compared to less slightly rounded edges of fake.

-On bottom of case, the details are different due to 2025 release of JT vs 2021 release of ES; either different manufacturer or minor details changed. the outer ring of authentic box cert stamp reads “international paper” vs fake ES (JT) reads “Atlantic Packaging”. The font of “BSTR…” is also slightly different where the actual ES is thinnest and fake ES(JT) is more filled out and bold. Lastly the location of both markings differ, but I cannot 100% confirm. I did a quick search on eBay and it seems like the authentic could have box cert stamp and BSTR more on the middle. I would love to have someone verify this.

-STOP tape could differ… fake ES/JT stop and writing on tape are bigger in this comparison. However, I do have another sealed case where the tape is more of the newer style (that case I have it sealed still but was able to check the color of content inside through small openings on corners of case)

I did notice in one case that not all JT booster boxes are in the same orientation. Typically I am used to seeing all facing one way with the back side on the side where the outer case label is. Can someone confirm? If it’s always same orientation, then that case was opened first.

Hope this can help somebody! Sorry mod if I wasn’t supposed to post under general.

EDIT: I confirmed two cases by opening. The third case/second one I bought as BIN from an eBay seller got routed back last minute. That seller clearly had something to hide and must’ve done that as soon as he saw my return request on the first one from him. So, I did not get to physically confirm the third one by opening it, but all signs point to JT being in there. It is too bad I couldn’t stop the scam on that one and that one is going back…

Since someone asked via message, the reason why I opened them was because I purchased the cases with a decent margin where I thought I could sell most at a small profit and keep a few for myself. Thank goodness I opened em!

Update: The second BIN case from the eBay seller was supposed to arrive yesterday until tracking said there was a delay. I checked the tracking again today (Sunday) and now it’s heading back to the seller. My guess is that the seller contacted USPS as soon as he saw my return request on the first case because he doesn’t want me to open up another case and ruin the fraud.

would just open any sealed pokecase you receive not from distro like is seems youve done… the “sealed case premium” is weird asf

did…did they not think you would look? Are scammers this dumb now?

I suppose the scam only works when the victim is a reseller and wouldn’t dare tear into a sealed investment pc grail
