Hahaha reddit is a gross little cesspool of misinformation. I’ve bought a number of things there though. And sold a few as well. Not worth the time unless your selling modern cards cheap generally, but I’ve gotten a few good deals and a couple rare cards.
That being said I don’t think it’s fair to rank this site above much of anything due to the inability to sell items. So from that standpoint eBay is really the best outlet. But on the original point, this certainly is the most cancer free resource.
You’ve been ripped on this site? I haven’t in MANY transactions so e4 deserves top billing. Our members are flat out awesome. Quantity wise of course eBay would be more. My range would be:
Efour > eBay > Everything else.
I only recently joined a Facebook group trying to get some nice cards for my Bulbasaur collection. With great extend I picked up a ton of nice cards, even non Bulbasaurs, including a very minty 4th print Venusaur.
BUT… First sale I did, and probably gonna be the last.
Buyer wants me to: Make photo’s of my packing everything, make a video of me dropping it off at the post office and send all of this to him including the track code. He dares to demand this all after haggling me out of shipping fees trying to make my use some shit ass ‘pick up at location’ shipping service I know Marktplaats users use to scam people.
He’s gonna be very unhappy with me just sending him a track and trace code. He should be happy with the deal I gave him.
I mean…no matter how much cash it was, even just like 50$ can be a lot to people, and I understand wanting to be safe. Why didn’t they just pay through PayPal, though?
I could believe 50$ is much for someone, but not if I saw him selling 400$ worth of cards just before he contacted me.
Also; Dutch people to stupid to use PayPal …
Call it what you want, but I stand by my statement. It is just a fact that nobody should be spending money that they need or may need in the event of a family, house, car emergency on Pokemon cards.
Too often I get people on eBay cancelling Pokemon card sales because their car broke down, pet got sick, kid got sick or whatever other reason. I am talking in some cases $10 or $20 cards.
