EX raws have skyrocketed last few months?

Anyone else noticed that there’s no supply of cheap ex raws anymore (even damaged). I had a look at the sold listings for some team rocket returns EX cards and I saw some finish at $20-30 for a damaged card late last year. Now the cheapest I can buy them for is $70+…

Same with some others from other sets? Has someone just bought a lot of the raws? Anyone here doing it haha?

I hope not 'cause I still need about 100 of 'em and I need like a decade or two in order to do that :grimacing:

Ehhhh, prob not a ‘buyout’. Organic demand for scarce cards finally catching up with supply? sure. I don’t think there’s a bogeyman orchestrating this though.

Yes even non english ones have been rising quite a lot. (at least for EX DF ;p) Used to be able to get decent binder versions for anywhere from 10 to 30. Now most are ~70

They haven’t increased in value that much recently, as far as I can tell. Nice raw copies have been scarce for at least the past 1.5 years that I’ve been collecting them.

Also, one thing to take into account is that the raw supply has naturally depleted because so many copies have been sent to PSA. The PSA 7/8 pops on exs have like quadrupled over the past year haha. 9 pops have increased a lot, too. 10 pops, not so much (as you know, I’m sure lol).

Mint, ungraded Japanese ex cards seemed to disappear overnight, although this is going back a couple of months.

Yeah i mean more the damaged ones. Like TTR snorlax - cheapest you can buy is like $100 for a damaged one now. Same with Entei TMTA - cheapest is like $40 for a damaged one. I remember selling my suicune ex trr that was LP for like $60… it seems that would cost 150+ now.

Also, something to consider is that TRR has probably the most popular ex cards of any of the ex-era sets (Unseen Forces comes close too). I was in the market for these ex cards a couple of months ago. Definitely some great looking cards :blush:
