EDIT: To clarify, I hadn’t seen the post of Gary selling his PSA-10 Charizard to Logan Paul yet, so it’s not directed towards that at all.
I just see more and more IG/YT ‘celebrities’ with Pokémon cards being shared here on the forum, and quite frankly, thus far I hadn’t heard about any of these ‘celebrities’ prior to those posts. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ If they buy cards they can afford for their own enjoyment, good for them. But I personally don’t see it any different as a low-end collector buying raw cards they can afford for their own enjoyment (except for the money and exposure involved obviously).

@muk I laugh at how many people are hoping and waiting for a retrace. Meanwhile things only get more and more out of hand. If a retrace ever happens it still will likely be more expensive then cards currently are.

Too be fair, during the corona jump in prices, there was a bit of a retrace around the end of summer. Then Logan came in and stopped that lol

Yea, not all cards really did retrace like I think base set either didnt or had very little of any retrace but most other sets had I’d roughly guess between a 15% decrease from the height as things sorta settled down from the huge spikes. I think things would have stay settled till the end of the year and go back to a more normal gradual increase like these past few years but who woulda predicted so many big names would get into pokemon. This is why no one can ever predict how things will unfold in the future. Needless to say, its been a crazy year for pokemon
