eBay Transaction (Salty)

Ok, so I have been trying to contact an eBay seller regarding an item which is a dual listing for an English PSA graded card and Japanese PSA graded card. I am mainly interested in the English card (not a JP collector) and sent the seller a message requesting such, with a fair price included. However, I have gotten no response. Usually when I message a seller they will at least reject the offer then we can negotiate what they consider a fair deal or they counteroffer. In this case, the items together are around $90 and I offered $70 for just the English card which I believe to be fair.

This seller is Australian btw, so I don’t know if that plays any part in them not responding to me since I usually deal with people in the states. The listing was ending soon, so I sent another follow-up message regarding my offer yet no response again…then it was relisted.

They are not interested. Honestly, If im not interested in a offer I don’t reply as I just don’t want to waste my time.

I see. Well, I guess I just was just lucky to always get responses to my inquiries. lol

The reason for my “salt” was that I was suggesting a mutually beneficial transaction:
their listing was ending soon, so if they counteroffer or sell the one card (my offer above FMV) can then re-list with just the remaining card

Looks like they only want to sell the cards as a package deal though.

As a buyer, I don’t think I’ve ever paid for an item and then cancelled.

Same. In rare occasions I buy something on impulse and immediately regret it after buying. And I’ve also bought things, only to see it cheaper elsewhere the day after. But even then that’s my problem as an (impulsive) buyer, not the seller’s…

UPDATE: After I cancelled the order and refunded his payment, I included a message saying:

“Your request will cost me $10 in non-refundable PayPal fees, but I cancelled the order as your requested (at my own expense). Please avoid my listings in the future.”

His response: “Your welcome!”

I really hate people like that, especially if they response like that after stating you loose money due to the PayPal transaction for cancelling his order. I’ve never sold anything on eBay, but in case I one day do, I’ve added him to my blocked list. It may only be a 10 USD loss in this case, but it’s the principle…
