Hello all!
I am new to selling on ebay and I had two of my auctions go off tonight. One card was won by someone with a good amount of feedback. However, the second card was won by someone with no feedback and who just made the account this year. I sent a message to both buyers congratulating them on winning and telling them I would ship the cards out Tuesday, due to president’s day. The buyer with a ton of feedback messaged back right away. The other buyer has not responded at all. I am just iffy on this second buyer and I am not sure what to do. What do you guys think of this? Would sell to them if they end up never answering? Thank you in advanced for any responses!
Don’t be worried! Most of the time no feedback buyers don’t cause many problems. As long as he pays, you should be safe to ship. eBay should have your back if anything happens.

I’ve read a few other threads with this same type of question, and most of the replies said to just ship the item. You gotta start somewhere if you’re a new account. If its a big ticket item, maybe add some protection, but if it isn’t crazy valuable I’d say you’re fine.

Take very detailed photos of the card youre about to ship. Then add insurance and Signature required. These are some steps you can take to feel better about shipping it off. Hope this helped.

It was nice you messaged them but apparently it’s led to anxiety. For you I’d simply wait for payment then once received, ship asap. If you do that, I’d call you a pro;)

I wouldn’t expect a message back unless you were asking him something. I get several messages asking for positive feedback, saying thanks for the purchase, updating me on shipping and I usually never reply.

One of the best things about Ebay is most transactions can be done without sending a single message

If it’s a new/low feedback account and the item is expensive I usually send a message asking something like if their shipping address on file is correct. If they don’t answer I’ll still send it but it does give me a bit more peace of mind when they do lol. So basically, there’s no point in sending the message but there’s no point to a lot of things I do in life lol

It’s totally cool. Honestly, I never reply to messages like yours. How expensive is that card? Either way, in most cases you should be fine.

@garyis2000, yess I may have to just start doing that. I like congratulating the people on winning, cause it’s personal but I think the other way you’ve said is much better and would cause me less anxiety haha! thank you for the advice

@pkmnflyingmaster, I do see a ton of benefit in that! You don’t have to talk to anyone and you still get your product after winning it and such.
@somepokemonguy, it’s honestly not too expensive at all so I think it should be fine now, after everyone has been easing my mind about it haha I completely feel and understand that lol there’s a lot of things I do in my life that make no sense hahaha!!
@microgypsy, I think in the rules I can’t say prices of anything here but its not expensive at all, the auction didn’t go high lol I just got anxious because I’m new to this selling thing on Ebay and want to make sure as a seller I’ll be okay. Like one guy I sold a psa graded card to had messaged me, had a different address than the location of his selling account (two different states) and he messaged asking why it came to a certain price and wasn’t the original price, but it was because of the low shipping cost but then the taxes brought it up more, so I told him that. But I got nervous with that buyer hoping they wouldn’t claim they didn’t get it because it was going to a different address with a different name but it turned out absolutely fine and nothing bad happened haha. So I think I just get too anxious and overthink, one of my problems in life lol. Thank you though, also, for easing my mind about the situation
