I recently bought an auction and had to return the items due to two of the cards being fake. (You can read about that here if you’re interested: www.elitefourum.com/t/advice-ebay-seller-knowingly-selling-fake-cards-as-genuine/14982/1)
The seller has now received my return, confirmed this on eBay and wants to issue the refund. However, my original payment to him is still listed as pending in PayPal on his side. I believe this is due to the protection rules on new eBay sellers noted here: pages.ebay.co.uk/help/sell/paymentprocess-newsellers.html (this is the first item he has sold an item on eBay). The payment on my side is as normal and the money left my account when the payment was made.
Due to the payment still pending for him, he said he can’t see how to issue the refund in PayPal. He’s opened a ticket with eBay to see if they can help.
I’ve not come across this situation before as a buyer or seller but was wondering if anyone else here has? Does anyone know what he needs to do to issue the refund?
Many thanks as always!
