no that is what I mean. I get packages that need me, the recipient to pay.
This isn’t community Gold so much as a fun eBay time capsule. I was grabbing some old purchase receipts and found these interesting price points:
Following xileets’ post here are some of mine from way back.
Funny thinking about how upset people were with the prices of scream cards back then. Even $28 was considered too much for those three.
WOooooooooow.
The scream promos… Then the Base set pack… THEN the crystals!
Haha. What a trip! ![]()
A seller who has been helping me finish the Artbox sets sent me 7 free sheets of cards and a nice note with an order.
75% of them are fake (mother selling kids’ old pokemon stuff with their permission), but it was a very nice gesture since we had chatted about collecting cheap cards from the 90’s- 2000’s while making a deal. She’s helped me out with multiple orders now.
I couldn’t go this far back in the app, but was able to dig this up from my email history. Those were the days!
I remember buying these and the price was a big deal for me at the time. My buddy at the gym thought I was crazy spending that much on these cards but I needed them for the collection.
eBay Gold isn’t about the good deals that you got years ago. It’s about highlighting positive interactions on eBay because they are hard to come by and/or never discussed. Can we create an eBay Time Capsule thread instead? ![]()
Oh my bad! I saw someone else post it so i went back in my history.
Not your fault at all! The OP of this thread made the first off-topic post! ![]()
And….well did you?
No but I am tempted. It was on my watch list for future consideration
I dont have the paper anymore, but a Japanese seller back a few years ago needed more Pokémon GO friends from overseas and shared his/her friend code. I of course added them ![]()
Remember, “Regret sucks.”
Arrived at my daily ebay housekeeping to find this gem. =)
I very muich respect good, time-taken feedback. It benefits us all.
After chatting with a seller and asking some questions on a raw card and eventually making a close to list price offer…a seller suddenly 2x-ed the price on a card (maybe they thought they mispriced it). Kind of annoying, but… no harm, no foul, it’s their card and we hadn’t confirmed any deal.
But! eBay gold moment - they came back a few hours later saying they felt bad about the sudden price increase and honored the original list price (which I very much appreciated!).
