That’s understandable. I think my case was extreme and the seller had been aware and the pics used for the listing were of a totally different card because they used stock photos since they had multiples. I do understand your all’s point of view. Idk how you’d check 5000 cards being one person.
It’s fine. I was just pointing out that people seemed a little quick to blacklist without information. I don’t agree with returning items because you disagree with the grade. Cards can be severely mis graded and I don’t think blacklisting is appropriate on cases that don’t involve scamming or bad motives from the buyer like asking to return.but I get it there’s a lot of different perspectives here.
First of all, no one knows your eBay name and no one would be able to see it if you just posted the link to the item, so no one would even be able to blacklist you.
Second, if the card was in as bad of condition as you said it was, then no one would blame you for wanting to return it, and no one would blacklist you.
Third, you already said you returned the card, so why would posting the link make people MORE likely to blacklist you unless you’re lying?
Your refusal to post the listing is suspicious. Not saying you’re lying, but the situation is certainly incredibly extreme, and not posting a photo of it if it was really THAT bad doesn’t help your case.
Lol I don’t have a case. If I didn’t mention my experience i’d say the same thing: you need more information before you blacklist someone. As far as giving you all the certs and you finding the card and contacting the seller and finding out who I am. Yea that’s a stretch. Be crazy if someone did that. Still not risking it on the world wide web bud. Idc if you believe me.
and I don’t get the memo where no one will blame me for returning it. What has largely been said is that it’s on PSA not the seller so idk where you’re getting that no one would blame me.
I mean that’s not the census I have gotten. I mentioned my experience and was told don’t buy PSA cards, no one has time to check them, buyers returning PSA cards are banned because it’s policy.
@junglefever, I would need to see the listing to be able to determine if you should be blacklisted exactly or not. Did the seller accept the return, did you force a return by opening a case against him? Did he mention he had multiple copies and you may or may not get the one pictured. Did you ask for pictures of the copy you would be getting? Just post the link bro
I can see both sides of the argument. It’s rude of a seller to not post pics for something that is a clear red flag, but also not appropriate to blame someone for a grade given by a 3rd party.
Solutions to the given issues?
Buy from reputable sellers
Check condition carefully yourself
Message the seller with questions prior to big purchases
Deal with PSA if unhappy since they will reimburse you for an incorrect grade
Yes he mentioned that the card received might not be the one in the picture because there were 2 available. And no I didn’t force a return, I asked to return and the seller offered to send the other one upon receiving the first one from me. So I did that and it turned out fine. I’d buy again from this seller. I would have forced a return though because it was severely misgraded and the seller made it known that he always just thought of it as a weak 9. But no dude I’m not posting the link, there’s some people on this forum that ain’t got anything better to do than to go find the exact cert and contact the seller. I’ve literally seen people on this forum find continuous certs for Gary among other crazy things so I’m good on that.
A 9 is a 9, whether it’s weak or strong right? We all wish the 9s we buy are strong, but ultimately that’s not how the cards fall. Either way glad to hear you and the seller worked it out.
Yes a 9 is a 9. I don’t agree with buyers deciding they don’t agree with the grade. I have tons of weak 9s. In my case it looked like the grader looked at a 6 upside down. I think there are cases where things need to be disclosed by the seller.
