you should be happy. moonbreon surprisingly made it into the top 10 despite all odds against the rest of the umbreon cards out there. impressive.

The poll reflects E4’s preferences. Not everyone thinks moonbreon should be in their top 3.
That being said. Umbreon has many fantastic artworks in the TCG. Really difficult to choose a top 5.

Its nice card art for sure but it doesnt telegraph Umbreon for me. I dont look at that and think “That is what umbreon is about” whereas Neo umbreon I can look at and think how dark and mysterious it is, how powerful it looks shrouded in darkness against the moon. That makes me think of a dark type pokemon, not giant umbreon pawing at the moon in cat-like bewilderment.

Everyone justifying which Moonbreon is the best, meanwhile the Sunbreon managed to come 5th.
If it was upto me then this would be the best, but hey, 5th best card is a great result.

The sun’s strong scorching rays is burning Umbreon, it is crying for help - perspiring and dying of thirst! It needs moonlight, not sunlight.

Last year in reddit, I held a similar poll to see which is the most beautiful Umbreon TCG artwork, regardless of card’s monetary value (but now deleted by heartless and unkind moderator over at reddit) and…
Moonbreon (ES) was the clear winner, not by small margin.
Wonder how did the results vary so much now when held in E4?
Moon this, moon that, this Pokemon can’t even learn Moon Blast.
Umbreon name is derived from Umbra, which means shadow. Guess what do you need for Shadow, light. Where does the light come from, Sun.
Sunbreon for the win!!

The average age and level of experience in the hobby is higher here. Meaning most people here will have been alive and collecting to have seen more than 4 of those umbreons released, unlike the average redditor

It varied more cause reddit is easily swayed by hype when you have Moonbreon and $$$ signs pasted on every thumbnail its easy to think its the best card. Most people here know about the more obscure umbreons and so on.

No doubt the moonlight is technically sunlight reflected, but direct sunlight is too strong and hot, can even cause skin cancer. Even too hot for humans.

Oh I see… Ya some Umbreon cards posted here by TS I’m seeing for the first time… but they still don’t appeal much to me.

on another note, is there interest in repeating this type of species art poll with other pokemon? on something like a bi-weekly or monthly basis? seems kinda fun if a bit of work to set up each time

- Ya I know there are bound to be some unknown or lesser-known Umbreon cards. But if most people don’t even know about them, how awesomely beautiful can they be?
*Prove me wrong by posting an Umbreon card I’ve never seen before and wow me! It must be at same or higher level awesome-ness as Moonbreon.
- With so many people who are anti-Pokebuffet and anti-Moonbreon, I seriously doubt the credibility of the poll here. And what’s more, Karen’s Umbreon won top place?!
