Returning back for a couple Best of polls for special arts. We’ll go ahead and start with the most recent year since it is fresh on our minds, and then do 2023 next week. Shout out to @koala for making this easy by compiling the artworks in his thread

How this works:

• cards are listed in chronological order based on first release
• each card will have a picture followed by the option to vote for it.
  • to reduce the length of the page, most will be in groups of 3 or 2
• vote for any card that you like.
• on Sunday at 12PM Pacific Time, the polls will automatically close. I will edit this post and title to count down from least to most voted, and we will see which cards are E4’s Favorite.

"E4's Favorite" Polls - Archive

Overview Why I began doing these polls in December 2023 as a way to see how the community here ranks cards of various Pokemon or types of cards. Sometimes we may have an idea of what is #1, but what might round out the top 10? It’s hard to guess, and we always end up surprised in the end. We are so spoiled with full art cards; so many of these are just awesome, and they definitely make me much more inclined to buy a card of a Pokemon I would otherwise likely never be concerned with

I mostly agree. The few that I definitely dont is the persian at 5 (there are so many cards better than that one). Umbreon is not the best art from the eevees by far; sylveon, glaceon, leafeon and espeon are all better arts imo. Butt pikachu definitely seems snubbed too. The art on that one is decent, it deserved higher.

For me its easier to call cards with the same votes as in a tie for X place instead of calling them like 92-99th place.

Feel free to add my version in addtion to the way you have it laid out. But I think looking at the way this vote has so many cards, that the amount of ties means this could have been done differently. A tournament style of bracket voting, where we pit cards head to head and decide which is better and do run off until the tier list is sorted could have worked. But at this point, doing run offs could also work if we care to make a true list. Because I just voted for cards I like, but obviously I like some cards more than others.

Anyhow, this was an ambitious and fun one. And its fine as is. Just wanted to brain storm. I do think doing a tournament vote could be fun though! Maybe we can do that with sword and shield era Alternate arts (exclude trainer gallery& galarian gallery, do those as their own tournament).

you’re also welcome to run polls however you’d like, but i’d suggest you check the archive to try and do something that hasn’t been done before
