Wow, crazy week, huh guys?
Amidst all the chaos, just a friendly reminder for anyone who hasn’t signed up but wants to that registration is open until Sunday, Feb 2 at midnight (PDT). No prior tournament or Pokemon battling experience necessary.
Also to those signed up for VGC 2013, remember to send me your teams via DM here. That will be your team for the entire bracket.

It has been a week.
And I’m STILL not sure what team I’m running in VGC everything I run seems to die to an obvious flaw and when I patch it, something else destroys me.

It is, but the way things are going it’s likely going to be extended (as I can’t start the tournament until I have everyone’s teams)

If my account hasn’t been auto-confirmed if I upload my team to Pokepaste and copy/paste all those details by the link in say a word doc. can I use that on the day if I paste the link address?
Apparently I have to wait 7 days to get confirmed to use the save feature.

You should be able to upload a paste directly to pokepaste. If you click ‘import/export’ in your team on showdown, it will load it as text, then you can copy and paste that directly into pokepaste. Then click submit and it will generate a paste.
Remember to delete your EVs and IVs from the paste for the team sheet though!

Ok great thanks, I think I’ve done that correctly so far.
Like once I send my team to ddk? I was going to send that picture that generates of the team or is a text file better?

Yes. The only thing we should see on the team sheet is pokemon, items, moves, and abilities. It should look like this Untitled PokePaste

Reminder that registration for the tournaments closes this Sunday. If anyone is still looking to dip their toes into Gen 5 now is the time!
As for the VGC team submission, I’m going to extend the deadline another week to Sunday, Feb 9. It’s been a busy time on E4 and I haven’t had much time to build a team either. Hopefully this gives people more time to test their teams.
The Singles bracket will still start as planned next week once sign-ups are closed and the bracket has been generated.

Been playing a bit of vgc and gotta say its a lot of fun but man is it hard to just pickup and go for it. Cant string 2 wins together at the moment
