I have seen quite a few different people here bring up hockey from time to time. Seen a few post about jerseys/cards etc. So I wanted to make a mega thread to talk about one of the most exciting sports in the world and see the hockey fans here! Whether it’s sharing new hockey related purchases or talking about your favourite team(s)

Starting off with myself, I am a huge hockey fan and have been my entire life and a (newly) hockey card collector. I am unfortunately a Toronto Maple Leafs fan, so mostly pain and misery from that front.
Collecting hockey cards was probably a bigger focus for me in the 2024 collecting space than even Pokemon.
I am pretty generic in my collecting so far trying to get all the young guns, young guns canvas and future watch auto cards of my favourite leafs players, but someone like Auston Matthews that gets very expensive, very quickly.
On the non hockey card collecting side; I have this side goal to travel to every NHL rink to see a game. I am getting a puck at each new arena to commemorate the ones I go to and hope to display all 32 pucks one day.
Being from the Toronto area, quite a few are easy for me and I go to games semi regularly like Toronto, Montreal and Ottawa, but this past fall I went on vacation to LA and Vegas so I managed to check off the Ducks and Golden Knights on my list. And this puck from the ducks home opener this year is easily my favourite in my NHL arena travel journey so far.

I used to collect very heavily for hockey cards, now I only collect signed pucks or just autographs on items in general. Eventually I can grab pics when I’m back upstate where all my items are.
I’m not too far from Toronto. I’m sadly a depressed Sabres fan

Ruley!! Fellow Leafs fan here!! My prized possession is a Signed Game Worn Aki Berg jersey given to me by… Aki Berg! I used to serve him and his friend a bunch back in my bartending days and one day he gifted it to me out of nowhere! If you ever see the jersey at a game please come say hi!!
I also have some experience acting and was in the hockey hall of fame commercial with Corey Perry several years ago. My fav hockey moment was getting to walk around the whole HHOF while it was closed for the shoot with a bowl of M&Ms by myself! If Leafs win the cup this year let’s treat ourselves to a fun day at 401 Games 
Always been my fav sport and it’s cool to see other hockey fans!!

Love to see a hockey thread! Hockey is my favorite sport. I don’t collect much memorabilia, but I enjoy following the season and playing fantasy hockey every year. I am a Bruins fan, apologies to all the Leafs fans in the thread. I’m sure this year you won’t lose in Game 7…again.

Hawks fan here. Been a rough last few years but 2010-2015 were sweet. I torture myself and watch every hawks game knowing that there might be a light at the end of the tunnel in a few years.
I don’t collect cards outside of blackhawks players and not super into it right now. You all probably know the sports card market is wild and last year when UD Series 2 came out it felt like what prismatic evolutions is like now.

I love the Anaheim ducks, they should be called the anaheim psyducks!
So be sure to say Anaheim psyducks and anaheim ducks.

Hell yeah, I’ve been playing puck for over 20 years now! There is something so special about the sport, you take that first stride on the ice and the outside world just fades away.
Favorite players: Crosby, Messier, McDav-o
Favorite goalies: Brodeur, Hasek
Favorite team: Rangers!
Favorite stick: Easton Z-Bubble baby!

Ducks fan here. Been following since I was in elementary school. I can remember saving the sports pages from the newspaper with info about the latest Ducks games since I couldn’t watch it on TV at the time. I remember then winning the cup, and at one point, we did have some Ducks players come to my elementary school to have a street hockey day for PE. Now, if the Ducks could get back to the old ways, I’d be so happy. The 2 games prior to today were kinda depressing. I wanted to get season tickets for this year, but I talked myself out of it. Maybe in the future.
At one point, I thought about collecting some NHL cards, but honestly, sports cards have never been something I’ve been super interested in, so ultimately I passed on it.

Massive Rangers fan here. Favorite current item I have is the puck I caught at a game in 2021. Panarin pass cross ice (shocker) that was deflected by Gavrikov over the glass right to me. Besides that I met Wayne when he was coaching the Coyotes and had him sign a few items which is still surreal to have.

This puck is so cool! I am from Michigan and was surrounded by hockey my entire upbringing, but funny enough never really got actually interested in it (only peripherally from all my friends that were Red Wings fans) until I moved out to San Diego for my job and met my girlfriend in Orange County. I actually attended my first NHL game due to her nudging at the Anaheim Ducks arena and it was such a blast! I’m kind of sad I have been missing out for so long, and can’t wait to attend more games soon!
