I tried to comment on art as they posted and hope to have time later to add some other comments. So many great entries. A big congratulations to @bbobrob on your finish in Original ! I really appreciate the details and creativity in your art. I just loved the playfulness of this piece. It so captured the essence of the Pokemon depicted.
A little about my submissions.
I chose my recreation Darkrai a fine 4’11" Pokemon to honor it after a dishonorable mention in the “favorite” polls.
The Thinker was inspired by real life. I frequently hike this small mountain near my home. In the spring the early buds on the trees give the surrounding landscape these great colors. The trail is used by many and is marked by these stacks of rocks on the granite face of the mountain. I often sit there with my pup just taking it in and thinking. I imagined Geodude finding this place of solitude. What does a rock Pokemon ponder? Cutifly of course is a bit of a distraction or is it the “light bulb” of a good idea. I added the forget me nots for fun.
