I figured it’d be a slight bummer with no badges for those who wanted them so I did a pinback button. I made them all with a simplified E4 logo, added 2025 to the bottom silver, included a pokemon stamp of several of the Pokemon that were included in this years promotional material (meowth, pikachu, snorlax, jigglypuff, and clefairy), and finished it off with a similar color tint to the colorscheme the badges normally had (Pink for those who help set this up, Blue for all others).
They may not be the greatest things but best I could slap together on short notice with minimal cost since Im not even going to be there. Nothing like a little personal touch to the random swag.
For those curious, I am currently on site in Anaheim! If you have any questions regarding the meet up please let me know!
Feel free to bring a fellow collector, we want people passionate about the hobby!
Also a friendly reminder, if you are capable of dropping a donation, please do! We are still currently sitting at just shy of $600 for funding out of our $1250 goal. Paypal donations can be sent here: jason.micco@gmail.com
Felt like I genuinely missed out by not arriving early last year… This time it will definitely be different. Thank you for all of the work you put into organising this gathering each year and the lengths you go to make everyone feel comfortable (clearly visible with the replies you give on here). Looked like a strong group in Hawaii. Hope to be a part of an even stronger group this year and be in that next photo!
We are a much tighter timeframe this year as that’s when most people showed up anyway. Would love to get us all in a room together, but it’s like herding cats lol.
And yes, I think it’s best to be welcoming to everyone!
What are people bringing to the meetup? I was thinking of bringing some energy cards and bulk Slowpokes to sketch on for people, and a trade binder in case anyone wants to trade stuff
It seems like many people unfortunately didn’t manage to get anything neither signings or workshops… Both me and my wife were the same, as multiple of our friends. It’s a shame but hopefully the rest of the experience will be fun!
It’s somewhat of a reminder to what’s truly important. I absolutely love autographs and meeting artists and prominent figures in the Pokémon franchise, but at the end of the day the most important thing is the experience and memories made with friends. Looking back that’s what sticks out the most each time I’ve been to Worlds!
A bit of an odd request @silversnorlax204. I am not sure if it is the first time the draw prizes are included in the meetup, but is it possible to discord stream or something when the prizes are being drawn? I understand if it is logistically not possible and if the folks attending the meet do not agree to it then it is ok to not do so. But was just thinking it would be great to be a part of the drawing prizes even if online.
Unfortunately with less than ~48 hours notice there is not a lot I can do. Someone is welcome to record me reading off door prize numbers if they would like to.
