I was a lottery winner, got lucky! Need an additional ticket for my little brother though. We entered the lottery at almost the exact same moment on day one but it seems like it really is random
Reading all the comments here (and seeing as Im such a infrequent poster these days), yours kind of inspired me to share some input that can relate for you and also might be beneficial:
So im probably a walking billboard of mental health issues myself, suffering (but managing) issues like high anxiety and depression among other things for years. That being said, Im similar with large groups though many people here who have met me might actually be surprised to hear that since I kind of come out of the shell at events and wouldnt be described an anti social at all.
But, because of the people here that attend and run things, thats why it all kind of melts away, if you (or anyone else in the fence here) is afraid to attend just know that most everyone has similar feelings at first. Its scary, but I dont think ive ever met a single individual from here in person that wasnt met with a warm welcome. Its a beautiful thing for sure, and i mean, hey, thats the beauty of Pokemon overall. It can give us a sense of fun and comfort while also connecting us with others who enjoy it just the same.
So the tl:dr, if you or anyone is debating on going I can recommend. Its a great time with great people and in the end you might find yourself wishing you could do it again and again and more frequently. I attended last year and had an amazing time, and this year im still on the fence about flying out (since I reaaaally wanna do another Japan trip instead) but If I do I shall be attending!
Hope this is helpful!
Oh uh, PS: if you want to see how happy it made me to hang with everyone as well, just check out the photo with me and the gf above (im in the worlds Hawaiian shirt and Dedenne hat for anyone that doesnt know). That smile dont lie
I second this, just go.
This community has really great energy when we get together. I’ve had people note it in years past that it really is a unique and beautiful thing.
I plan to come.
thank you for the very warm and encouraging post! part of my fears was that from the group photo, it looks like the average height of an e4 member is like 5’11 which is quite intimidating for an average height person like myself (jk, but you all do look quite tall). i will probably attend as soon as i find out what time the sacrificial circle is so i know to arrive after that
ok so even funnier now, im actually 5’7 myself for a guy (which is definitely short for a lot of folk there) but im in the back literally being lifted up to be the tallest in the photo
. So just kind of gives you an idea there that even if small, its ok (and everyone also has a great sense of humor too)!!!
Lol everyone knows im tiny as hell, but I embrace the fun with it all as you can tell. So dont worry at all about that because in the end, what matters is you and your passion for Pokemon!!
Can I donate more than the $35?
Absolutely! We usually have several people donate more every year.
100% happy to pay $35, but also need to know where to grab a ticket. Any help would be awesome for a safe place to snag one. I live about 30 minutes away so can’t miss it
A ticket to the E4 Event? We don’t have physical tickets, so just go ahead and walk right in. I’ll meet you at the door
Apologies; I meant for the actual event. Either way, I am 100% hitting the e4 meetup
This thread has been updated to include a list of drawing prizes for the E4 meet up. The total revenue goal and current amount has also been included.
We are just weeks away!
See you guys there!
woohoo! finally decided to book my flights for my first Worlds since 2011! can’t wait to see everyone there!
Same for me except 2015.
First time attending worlds! Excited to meet people!
Can I donate a door prize?
You know I would never turn you down!
Message me here or insta. Would love to see what you have!
Sent contribution towards the overall goal. I will not be joining but as always toast a cold one for all who can’t join.
To everyone attending, have lots of fun and looking forward to all the picture updates!
Cheers!
