Could you expand 3D to include live 3D,renderings like @bbobrob crochet diorama or other 3d mediums like clay , paper exts?

Well, clay like yuka morii (and any physical space works) or completely original 3D renderings would be originally made. Original is the most competitive category because anything original goes, just like in the tcg. While 3D is the hardest (in our opinion) because it limits you so specifically to collaging or composing using preexisting assets from games or media in the franchise.
3D is short for 3D virtual which we conceptualized as neither wholly original or recreative in nature, something in between. Plus we always wanted 4 categories, it just felt right. The whole idea was to explicitly have the work be made digitally only, but with the added twist of reusing and reshaping assets already in existence, to distinguish from original category potential wherein someone does something similar, but just from scratch.
Original = made from nothing, your own work, completely yours. Nothing but imagination to start your canvas, even if inspired or paying homage to something
3D = Essentially doing an original work but limited to manipulating or composing/changing with assets that exist already, rather than made by the creator, therefore making it exlusively both digital but also using works that aren’t yours at the onset.
And since I’ve gone over that, might as well reclarify…
Recreation = You are explicitly taking some art from the franchise (we strongly suggest official art from tcg or non tcg) and remaking it, whether loosely or very precisely, you are copying, but with your own twist, tone, personality, re-envisioning, etc.
And obviously child is where you are, whether due to artistic skill limitations or not, literally making a piece with a childlike nature about it. This one has never had any questions regarding the categorical specifications 
In this regard, everything is technically originally made by the submitter… but it allows for specific limitations for each category to make for a good 4 pinned foundation which makes it better for both encouraging entry and prize potential but as well as having fun fitting your niche.
