Does this listing look suspicious?

Long story short, stumbled on this listing earlier this week and reached out to the seller via email To discuss details.

Here’s the link:
rockford.craigslist.org/clt/d/rockford-pokemon-card-collection/6993356191.html

After two days of silence, seller gets back to me and offers to ship the cards. I explain to the seller that I have cash and would prefer to make the drive and pick them up. Seller then goes on to explain that there was a mixup and the craigslist location is Rockford Oregon, not Rockford Illinois (even though the phone number is a Rockford Illinois area code) This was last night at around 8PM.

upon learning this I respectfully declined the offer. I’m probably overly cautious, but does this raise any red flags for any of you seasoned collectors?

cheers

Pretty darn sure ive seen those images before on fb or somewhere

Again, I’m not trying to come off overly suspicious or skeptical. I’m a pretty reasonable guy and have done tons of business on Craigslist over the years. I just thought I’d share this link on the boards since it seems like a really sweet deal that I’m just not ready to take the risk on. Curious to know what others think

Yeah I’ve dealt with a scammer using that exact set of pictures before. I asked them to provide front + back pictures of a specific combination of cards to prove that they did indeed own them, which they were unable to do.

Yeah the link you shared is gone like a freight train.

Craigslist is super common for pokescams. It’s fun to troll the scam sellers once you have realised it’s a scam though!

Always go with your gut feeling. And as you can see, your gut feeling serves you well.
