While I believe I’m a rational person who employs logic in their purchasing decisions… I find that I often find myself buying cards on a Friday night (feeling tired after a long week at work) that I normally wouldn’t buy on Monday morning when I’m full of energy.
Do you find yourself feeling more inclined to buy cards at certain times? Perhaps when you are at a card shop and holding the card in person? Some other time?
I’m 100% more active on a Friday/Saturday night if I’ve had a few beers/whiskeys. During the week I can skip over most stuff without much thought, but the itch becomes much stronger at night on weekends.
Pretty much any time I’m not working or sleeping 
I’d say more purchases occur closer to pay day 
I don’t know exactly why but I often feel the urge on friday or saturday night. Probably they’re less busy days, or maybe some sociocultural rhythm kicking in, instilled since school lol.
I am my most manic and voraciously curious between the hours of 8 PM and 10 PM. I have gone to sleep certain I am on the precipice of an entire cart’s worth of purchases only to unwatch a ton of listings first thing in the morning. I have learned this about myself.
I’m definitely window shopping on eBay and pwcc more in the weekend.
It’s whenever I can find something worth buying. If that’s at 3am so be it
I think it really depends. If I’m trying to hunt down a deal, I find I’ll be looking multiple times through a day/week. Otherwise, I’d say I’ll be looking at things more later in the week since most auction blocks seem to end on the weekends or later in the week

I typically buy cards midweek during the work day. I work for myself and spend a lot of time in the phone and will sometimes peruse listings while on calls. I highly dislike looking at listings on my phone so I tend to stick to my desktop midweek. On the weekends my computer is off and I’m outside touching grass.
What do you do for self employment? Sorry for being nosey, thinking of going that route in a few years

Lol Ive done that once or twice! It’s funny I’m always so much more enthusiastic planning the bid than I am when I wake up in the middle of the night to place it. I don’t trust those auto bidder apps
I know, can’t trust a bot with my last second bid! I’ve also woken up 15 minutes before the auction ends, just to fall asleep before placing a bid haha
Gotta set it to 5 minutes before. Bid and back to sleep in 10
I can only remember one time where I specifically did this and I ended up winning a nice raw gs latios. It wasn’t even an Australian seller. Just some 0 feedback noob who decided to end the auction in the middle of the night. Was definitely worth it
not sure about buying but sales tend to occur a lot more on the weekend than during the week
As a seller I can confirm that my busiest time is (predictably) the weekend including Friday evenings.
I also tend to get a spike in buying volume near the end of the month, I assume because people have just been paid.
I’m in the UK, and one other funny but very predictable pattern relates to the weather. If it’s the weekend and the sun is out my sales volume always takes a pretty big hit lol.
Yes, before bed time from 8-10. I honestly find perusing Mercari JP to be very relaxing.
