Distribution info for Gen 3 promos

So I’ve been trying to find distribution info for some cards and I’ve had zero luck. I’m curious if anyone knows anything about how many copies of the following cards were distributed:

• PokePark Premium Files cards

• Metang 023 (Stadium Challenge promo)

• Treecko 037/PCG-P

• Shogakukan Magazine promos: Ash’s Treecko 036/ADV-P, May’s Torchic 037/ADV-P, & Brock’s Mudkip 038/ADV-P

• Lottery promos: Butler’s Kirlia 039/ADV-P & Forina’s Absol 040/ADV-PAll of these are relatively rare it seems like, but I can’t find any reliable distribution info for them. The Bulbapedia page for the PokePark Premium Files cards says that it was rumored that 1000 sets were released, but it gives no evidence for this. And it seems unlikely given how cheap many of the cards are (some of them are <$10 each). Anyway, any input on any of these would be much appreciated!

It’s terms of Metang. They were given out to partcipants of Stadium Challenges around July 2004. Stadium Challenges were a premier event of POP that could net the winner a ticket to worlds. As the card was given out to participants of them which if I recall anyone could enter I would assume the number of them made would be pretty decent.

Interesting. So PichuFan did some digging over in the rarest cards thread, and he concluded that there were likely only around 350 copies distributed (because there were three Stadium Challenge events, of which two had combined attendance of ~230). If you have info/recollection that conflicts with this, I’d be very curious to hear!

Another factor is if 350 copies were distributed, more than 350 must’ve been printed. I’d be curious where these copies ended up and if they likely entered circulation.

@zorloth, Thats really interesting to hear. That doesn’t conflict with anything I know. I have been using the wayback machine a lot to research stamped gen 3 cards and on Metang I just know that participants got them at the events and when they took place. My guess would be more were printed to make sure all in attendance got one. Hoping to hear if they got into circulation.
